I had high hopes for my visits to Sunday Cafe, I visited twice. Unfortunately, both visits were disappointing.
On my first visit, I stopped by to inquire about their supposed 24/7 workspace, only to be told that they close at 5 PM. This contradicted the information on their Instagram, leading to a wasted trip.
On my second visit around 4 PM, we hoped to enjoy coffee and downtime. Despite the poster stating pool access for ALL diners from 8 AM to 8 PM, we learned that the pool was closed for walk-ins, which was disheartening. After some confusion, we decided to order coffee nalang since the kitchen would be closing soon daw. (5PM)
ALSO, We’re happy to comply naman if may minimum order requirement ang pool access, as we’re looking forward to try Sunday café and/or Villa Cali. This seems to be a standard practice at many resorts in Siargao as well.
Lastly, the reception attendant's behavior was off-putting, as she was shouting at co-workers and slamming the cabinets.
It would be beneficial for the establishment to ensure that their hours and policies are accurate and clearly communicated. This would help manage expectations and improve the overall experience.
We ordered iced 50/50 coffee & Americano (wasn’t able to...
Read moreI was craving a hot chocolate to get the creative juices flowing while editing my project, so I walked 500 meters to Sundays to try their “Special Hot Chocolate.” Unfortunately, it turned out to be a major letdown—the worst hot chocolate I’ve ever had. Although the staff kindly offered to remake it, the second attempt only delivered a slightly bolder taste, but still fell far short of being enjoyable.
I paid 160 pesos for the drink, plus an additional 20 pesos for a takeaway cup. With no other choice, I reluctantly accepted the charge.
There was absolutely nothing “special” about this drink. It was bland, overpriced, and tasted like a generic pre-mixed cacao you could easily find at any grocery store. It lacked the depth, richness, and memorable flavor I was hoping for.
Note to Management:
Please don’t mislead customers by labeling it as a “Special” hot chocolate. It might be worth reassessing your chocolate recipe to deliver a product that truly stands out. There is Nothing Special in this hot drink if I...
Read moreI’ve been here twice, and both times I was disappointed with their food, the second time being more unsatisfactory than the first. On my 2nd visit, I ordered their hot chocolate. I didnt expect much tbh based on my first experience, but I received a serving of hot choco drink that tasted sooo much like DON PEPE’s powdered tableya sachet that costs 5pesos at the grocery store 🥲 It was just sweetened powdered chocolate. Im ok with cafes serving powdered choco, but swiss miss wouldve been a better alternative.
To be fair, their wifi is starlink and UNLI (no min order) and theyre open 24/7 - this is their advantage and the only reason I gave this a humble 3 stars rating.
Food and drinks should really be improved...
