Zicatela Siargao — Restaurant in General Luna

If only they invested so much energy and passion like they did in designing the place. Authentic looks and feels but the breakfast burrito was awful. Bland and dry more rice than eggs. Eggs should be overhwelming in a breakf burrito. All kinds of ingredients missing. Its not so difficult to make mexican food tasteful, but whoever created the menu or the food needs to put in some work. No surprise i was the only customer at lunch time. Not writing this out of anger but because i really want siargao to thrive like canggu in bali. But for that, restaurants need to actually care about the quality of their food. So i really hope they will improve this place....

I probably went here way too many times but I loved this place. The place has the best Mexican vibe, the service was awesome and the food was really tasty. One of my favourite starters was the habanero wings, while they were quite oily, it actually made the dish for me as the chicken was crispy but tender. Tacos were well cooked and seasoned with a good mixture of sauces to add more taste if needed. Also had the pork Burrito one night which was filling and flavoursome. Definitely recommend if you are looking for an alternative cuisine...

It only opened a couple months ago so hopefully will be better once they work out the kinks but right now more style than substance. After more than an hour wait after ordering (in a half full restaurant), my carnitas burrito arrived and was quite a large portion but was lacking in the pork and guacamole as advertised (mostly rice with green salsa and sour cream). I honestly should have known better with Mexican in an Asian country but it’s as cute as can be and great atmosphere so fingers crossed they pull together the food and...
