it's a bit of a mixed bag, honestly. ✈️ The location is pretty sweet. You're surrounded by some cool bars and restaurants, which is a definite plus. Just a heads-up, there are a few, shall we say, "less family-friendly" establishments nearby (aka pick-up bars) but nothing too crazy?! Convenience stores are also super easy to find, which is always helpful. Getting to the airport is about a 30-minute drive, and downtown is roughly 20-30 minutes, depending on the Manila traffic (which can be a nightmare).

✈️ The rooms themselves are... well, they're definitely vintage. Think 70s or 80s vibes. Not exactly modern, but they have a certain charm. They're also quiet, which is a big plus in a busy city. The see-through elevator in the middle of the building is a cool touch. They provide toiletries, room service, and even turndown service, so they cover the basics. Small and old-school, but the standard and service are decent enough.

✈️ the service: this is where things get a little dicey. From the front desk to the waiters to the bellhops, I didn't get a very warm and fuzzy feeling. Smiles were definitely lacking, and I saw a lot of staff members glued to their phones in the corners, which just doesn't look professional. The lady serving breakfast was especially frosty – totally cold and robotic. Not exactly the friendly face you want to see first thing in the morning.

✈️ the food: don't get your hopes up too high. It's pretty standard fare. Nothing to write home about, but nothing terribly offensive either. Just your average hotel breakfast.

So, overall, Herald Suites is a decent option if location is your top priority. The rooms are comfortable enough, and they offer decent amenities. Price is good. Just don't expect top-notch service or gourmet dining. It's a solid, if slightly...

Just got back from 5 nights here. I had an upper floor room at the back.|||| Very very clean|||| Room size is not as big as it appears in photos( of course ) but is the typical hotel size room. Big enough.|| Staff were extremely accommodating and clearly well trained in hospitality. I interacted with several different one and all had the same friendly attitude. Excellent staff. Management- take a bow.||||Location- maps make the hotel seem further away from Burgos than it actually is. I could walk there in maybe 2 minutes.||||Noise- no noise from Burgos, very very minor traffic noise at peak times. I would say very quiet given it's Makati and the closeness to the action. Naturally some noise from other guests, but it is not a cheap hotel so other guests generally considerate.||||Hot water- excellent and never ran out.||||Wifi- small deduction here. Speed was quite good but drops out were more frequent than acceptable. Needs a bit of modernization. But really very minor.||||Breakfast- adequate, food quality was good. Choice/range could be improved a bit. eg Cereals could offer granola or at least a healthy option rather than the sugar laden ones. Yoghurt could be added||||Security-- first class and on the job.||||Overall I was very impressed and would...

It was about more than an hour ago after we checked out when I asked my spouse where he put my rings. I initially left it on the study table, and since they were not there when we checked out, I assumed that he packed it. He placed it inside the study table drawer and forgot to return it to me.

I immediately called the hotel, informed our room number, and went back there. We are grateful to all the kind staff of the hotel for retrieving the item and for patiently waiting until we got back. These rings do not cost much, but these were the rings that my spouse gave me when he had nothing left. Again, thank you so much.

Room: It has everything that we needed-- with a comfortable bed, and also a bathtub, which I did not expect.

Breakfast: Nicely done. With options of Filipino and Western breakfast. Comes with a coffee or tea, and juice.

Parking: We were fortunate to park just right in front of the hotel's door.

Location: Walking distance to places where loud crowds or companies gather. This is a place where you can relax quietly after attending a party nearby. Or after you fulfill your gastronomic adventures.

Their lobby toilets have a very nice aroma too!

Staff: Very hospitable and kind.

Will...

Service was okay. Staff here were friendly and helpful. It was at an okay location if you are familiar with the area but if you are a tourist, getting in the hotel might be quite a challenge when in a vehicle. It is located in the middle of Poblacion Makati. The room we had was just okay. You can hear the noise from the outside. The matress was too firm. It was difficult to find sleep and each bed just had one pillow. The aircon was just a small window type, trying hard to cool the room. I think the ac is not ideal for the room size as it is quite spacious. Major issue was the soap. I came here thinking I did not need to bring soap with me because it is pretty standard for a hotel to have one. I rang in the reception to request for soap but it took a very long while only to find out that the hotel was out of soap. I was given shampoo instead of a soap. 🙄 Breakfast was included. You have to choose a breakfast plate. It was okay.

I absolutely loved everything about the hotel. The accommodations, room service, breakfast service, and the receptionists and staff were all exceptionally. They were incredibly approachable, especially Ms. Blexie at the reception desk who went above and beyond to assist me throughout my stay at Herald Suites, from the first day to the last. The room I stayed in was also noteworthy! I loved the spacious end/corner room, and the powder room was very nice. I will definitely be back soon for another stay.
