J.CO Donuts & Coffee — Restaurant in Manila

Had a remodeling of their store. Whereas before it was small and a tad dark. Now it is bigger brighter but open in the mall side. As a result not so cold and few insects come.

The line is endless and it took an extremely long time for our orders to be taken due to the person ahead (probably a reseller) buying about 10 boxes or more.

All the crew are very busy and tired looking so they are not as friendly or welcoming compared to other cafes. (Update they improved, more courteous, but there were less customers too, on my later visit.)

Also very noisy, not a cafe chill relax experience.

The jcoccino is not as yummy as I remembered. The filling also gets lesser now compared before. I already ate more than half of the bread before I got any jam of the strawberry flavor inside. I was just curious of the new green donut on display and it turns out to be pandan, one of my most hated flavor. Half dozen box for php 265.

But a revelation is the cappuccino frappe, php 175 for large or tre size. It was delightful! I thought it was mediocre compared to SB's but indeed I was satisfied. I have tried their drinks maybe just 5+ times before (a long time ago, pre pandemic) so I forgot lol. I don't often order their drinks coz what we usually buy is the 2 dozen donuts. But I do appreciate that it comes with a free plain donut.

They have a Monday to Friday combo 199 savory pastry and selected drink. Because it is promo no more free glazzy.

I am a huge fan of peach drinks but not this blue iced peach Smurf. It was not peachy tasting at all but tastes sour and 90% just full of ice. The only consolation is there were 4 cubes of real peach.

For the turnover, the egg overpowers the salmon both in taste and visibility. The fillings were just spread in the middle; which is a classic sa unang kagat tinapay lahat.

Also no CR or hand wash.

It should be -1 star. Poor and unprofessional customer service!! Yesterday, we ordered jcoccino frappe and AFFOGATO STYLE jcoccino. Ang dami kong beses inulit yung order ko and ang na punch nila is ICED JCOCCINO. So, pinapalitan ko because it is my bf usual drink. The girl that time at the bar area around 7:15pm I think, kept on shouting at me and telling me “MAAM YOU ORDERED ICED JCOCCINO PO. Ayun po inorder niyo!!” Then she called the cashier who took my order that night her name is GRACE she also insisted that I ordered ICED JCOCCINO when clearly I said AFFOGATO STYLE JCOCCINO. MULTIPLE times. THEN WE TRIED TO DO MY BF DRINK AGAIN AND SOBRANG UWING UWI NA ATA AT BINGI YUNG NASA BAR AREA (the girl wasn’t wearing her name tag but she is a SMALL, PALE SKIN, LOOKS AND TALK LIKE A PALENGKERA bcos she kept on shouting “NEXT TIME REPEAT ORDER NYO A LOT TIMES TINATAMAD NA YATA KASI CLOSING NA SLA LOL) then she made my bf drink wrong. I SAID AFFOGATO then she gave us AVOCADO JCOCCINO. They did not even gave me the receipt so I can formally file a complaint. WORST...

The place is good. The qUality of food and coffee is very well controlled or very consistent. They also offer large variety choice of donut and other new flavor. The place normally is a good place to have a chat with friend unless they are promo. Normally if they offer promos the line will get to long and you need to wait outside and its very hot outside.
