Went inside around 8:25 pm, it was already hot inside when we started. It took them a long time to bring in the soup. Around 20 mins, and no serving water was given to us. The manager noticed that we’re still waiting for the soup, turns out, the soup is just in the counter. The waiters are clocking out that’s why no one bothered to bring us the soup. But without the soup how can we start cooking our food? There is a band behind us, although the band already finished performing, they just leave the drum sticks and let the kids play with it. So result is very noisy that we couldn’t even talk properly. Lastly, it took us 30 mins to bill out. We asked several times for the leftovers to be packed. The 1st one to approach us was the Filipino manager. A little chubby with eyeglasses. We asked him if we could take home the left overs and he said yes, but it took us around 30 mins and a few follow ups before the leftovers were packed. Worst experience is waiting inside which is already very hot by this time because ut has been 30 mins without any aircon and boiling pots of other tables. Overall don’t dine in after 8 or 8:30 pm. Half of the staff clock out at 8pm so no one will assist you anymore. And you’ll be eating hotpot without any aircon or fan, plus the very long waiting time to bill out.

This is our second time eating in Lan Hotpot, but we were very disappointed with the type of service we received today. The first time we dined, the staff immediately taped a receipt to our table, which made us see what inclusions our payment entailed. However, this time, they didn't do that. There were many children running around, screaming all over the restaurant, and none of the staff had the initiative to tell the parents that their children should behave properly within the area. There was also the issue where the staff suddenly turned our stove off without informing us! We weren't even half way done with our meal, we were there for more or less an hour. But just because a sudden wave of clients came, the staff turned our stove off and assumed we're done? It was so rude! We even overheard the new comers that they'd take our table, and it seemed the staff agreed! It felt as if they were asking us to leave in the middle of our meal! Although I'll give credit to the food. We saw a lot more variety, especially in the meat section. All the food tasted great, especially the soup base and the meat rolls were my favorite. I just wish we had a chance to atleast enjoy the good food we paid for.

The store is located on the 2nd floor of the main mall, near the Body Shop store. The ambiance is good. The place is very spacious. We went here on a Saturday noon time. There's a few customers already. Not crowded. What I like: You can choose and get your desired ingredients on the side area. No need to wait for a crew to request the ingredients for the hotpot. You will create your desired dip. They have a recipe guide for first timers. They have fruits! They have rice, fried rice, seafoods (shrimp, mussel, etc), fried chicken, etc. They have ice cream (not the one on cup). They have deep fried food as well. You can select the food then ask the crew to deep fry it. What I don't like: Few crew members on that time, or maybe they were just busy. They have 1 regular (for both male and female) toilet and 1 for PWD toilet only. We enjoyed our dine-in here. Will probably visit again.

If you want to go to a delicious hot pot restaurant with important friends, clients or partners, don't choose this place. This is the worst hot pot restaurant I have ever seen. You will be embarrassed by the poor service in the restaurant. I have never been so angry as to review a restaurant, but here I must say that apart from the nice decoration, none of the food is edible. The meat is all low-quality, the pig blood is fake, and even the drink I got was expired. Fortunately, I checked the date carefully. This is the first time I have ever encountered such a situation. There are even many waiters, but they are always busy with their own things. You want to call the waiter, but the waiter doesn't see you. I think this restaurant lacks training for its service staff. When the seasoning is out, the beef is out, and they don't know how to restock it. Customers need to remind them, and even waiting for restocking takes a long time. I really don't feel like eating anymore.

We often say that the quality of a restaurant depends on whether the service details are in place and whether the dishes are delicious. The dishes are all low-quality meat, and you can taste it after taking a bite. Maybe you can fool customers who have never eaten beef, but you can't fool me. I can tell the taste of good meat from the taste of low-quality frozen meat. Even when I asked for a bucket of ice, they didn't have tongs. Did they want me to grab the ice with my hands? Such a simple service, they even ran out of food, vegetable seasonings, soy sauce, vinegar, and garlic, and they didn't restock them. I reminded them and the waiter agreed, but I waited for at least 20 minutes and...

The reviews about the service is true. The female staff who was at the entrance was arrogant and rude and a lot of the staff were purposely ignoring us when we asked for assistance. When I personally went to the entrance and asked to sign up for membership (it was taking so long), the staff cut me off and shouted “WAIT LANG” at me. Honestly, it was so disrespectful because I was only asking a simple question. No need to yell. I had to stand there looking stupid since apparently whatever she had going on at her phone was more important than attending to a customer. I noticed that she also treated other customers rudely and honestly, she shouldn’t work there if she’s so unhappy.

The food was okay for the price. The soup is good and the mala soup is spicy. The meatballs were a bit weird. But overall, it’s okay. It was a bit disappointing that the beef cake was not available, apparently it’s already phased out. Seeing that people were able to order it last week, I think it’s not.

The atmosphere was really nice, clean, and spacious.

However, because of the service, we would not be coming back. Our group was disappointed. We kept asking for the plates to be cleared up since we were a lot of people, it’s natural that we would eat more. No one assisted us with clearing the plates. Calling them to help us was futile since they clearly heard us saying “excuse me” but still walked away.

I think if you were eating here with a friend or two, it would be fine. Coming with a group is a different story, I don’t think the staff could handle bigger groups than 3. For me, Lan Hotpot should improve more on their service and hire more staff (and...
