I spent 2 weeks there. The room was in good condition, Tv had some watchable channels, Fridge and kettle supplied but without any stocks so bring your own. Aircon worked well.||||Staff were friendly enough. There is no lift so if you find stairs a problem look elsewhere. I was on the 3rd floor. The street noise did not bother me but it can be loud at times. Be aware their are small ants infesting the building that will happily swarm any food. They did spray a couple of times but this did not eliminate the problem. It didnt inconvenience me but I know some people freak when confronted by such things, just need to wrap leftovers or put in fridge or remove from room.||||Two letdowns were that the room cleaning pretty much did not occur unless directly asked which I usually did when when going out. The other on checkout was being charged for a stain from a cup of teal I spilled. It would easily was out but I ended up just paying the 600 peso. I have had this issue at other hotels in the area. I could understand it with a strong dye or stain but seriously spilled tea?||||The reality is the deficiencies are found in many places that are obviously low margin so you factor it in with what you...
Read moreThe biggest issue in finding a hotel in Ermita/Malate in this price range is: Street Noise. When this hotel was remodelled after having had a fire, they really blew it when they failed to install good double-paned windows. Neglecting that modest expense which would’ve made all the difference, and instead sleeping in these rooms feels like the trikes and jeepneys are driving right over the bed. We tried a room on the 2nd floor and another on the 3rd: both bad. A nights’ sleep is impossible here. Only alternative is one on their tiny cave-like, smelly, virtually windowless rooms (201 and 301). Breakfast, strangely is served in the rooms, or the hallway, and not in their restaurant. Dinner is way, way over-priced for what you get: ouso bouco at 450 pesos — slathered in barbeque sauce. Spaghetti (also 450) was tasteless, overcooked and warmed over. They have karaoke rooms. This place is an experience purely for the...
Read moreI am so blessed to have stayed here with my family. From the start, when i inquired about the room accomodation I felt well taken cared of with all my questions being answered thoroughly. Ms. Che always asked us how we are and is really accomodating. She even make my nephews at feel home. You can see the love and passion in the way they work. Even checking out is fast and easy. We also dined in their la scala cafe, the server even cut the banana split in equal proportions for us and asked us how was the food we ordered. The little things make the big difference. I will surely go back to this place. Even the room are simple yet clean and cozy. My nephews loved the displays around the area. And had a big smile when they had their breakfast. Truly grateful for filling our hearts with...
