Another great stay at Bathala Resort in the Panglao, Bohol, Philippines. Prime location nestled just 5 minutes away from the beach and the vibrant town, the resort provides an ideal base for exploring local activities, restaurants, and bars.
What sets Bathala apart is its high-end quality. The resort boasts a stunningly large pool, perfect for a refreshing dip under the tropical sun. The poolside ambiance is further enhanced by a nice bar, offering a variety of refreshing drinks. Dining at the resort is a delightful experience, thanks to the on-site restaurant managed by a talented French chef. The cuisine is exceptional, with each dish not only being delicious but also generous in portion, catering to all appetites. Additionally, the resort features an exquisite wine bar, stocked with an exceptional selection of fine wines from France and around the world. This sophisticated touch is a paradise for wine connoisseurs, adding a layer of elegance to the evenings spent at the resort.
The excellence extends to the accommodations as well. The rooms at Bathala Resort are spacious, beautifully designed, and impeccably maintained. They strike the perfect balance between modern luxury and comfort, with top-notch cleanliness being a noticeable priority. Each room is equipped with a highly efficient air conditioning system and a hot shower, ensuring a comfortable stay regardless of the weather outside.
Another noteworthy aspect of Bathala Resort is its connectivity. The internet service is remarkably good, a boon for both leisure and business travelers. This, coupled with the incredibly friendly and helpful staff, made my stay both productive and relaxing. The team's dedication to guest satisfaction is evident in their attentive and personalized service.
In summary, Bathala Resort is a gem in Bohol, offering a blend of luxurious amenities, superb dining, and excellent service, all in a magnificent location. It's an ideal choice for travelers seeking a high-end...
Read moreThis resort deserves more than 5 stars. The rooms are top notch, as good as or better than 5 star hotels in the United States. Very comfortable mattresses. No hanging wires, no air-conditioners stuck in holes with gaps, All the amenities are first class. Internet access is good, and they have a high speed back-up when the notoriously unreliable Philippine internet infrastructure fails. Service is 5 stars times 5. It is exceptional even for the Philippines. Every time we thought they could not be better, they surpassed themselves. The feel is very comfortable, homey. Even the resort dog Gibbs is a character. Scratch him behind the ear and he'll be your friend forever. Food is very good, Filipino/Western with French influences and with healthy options. Even their yoghurt is home-made by a local French supplier. Well stocked wines, with a climate controlled tasting room. Pool is large with a swim-up bar. Architecture is a strong Filipino design with many indigenous features. Some people may not like the location as it is a couple blocks away from Alona Beach via back streets. However my wife and I prefer to be able to escape the noise and bustle of Alona Beach for the relaxing vibe of Bathala. The only negative was that our schedule only allowed us three nights. We wanted to stay much longer. Thanks to Marge, Nico and their...
Read moreThis resort opened only in December 2022 and is a sister resort of Amihan (directly connected). The French owner together with his attentive staff are doing a great job of starting a new property just minutes away from the main beach and restaurants located on the main street. ||Both Amihan and Bathala feature great outdoor spaces, lush greenery and very spacious rooms. The rooms have a very minimalist, modern design (but I would personally add art work or plants inside the room). In Bathala you can swim-up to the bar and select from many of cocktails offered. ||My only two recommendations for improvement would be the breakfast and providing electric mosquito killers. Breakfast selection is simple, with too few healthy options. Having more healthy options would be great. Regarding mosquitoes, unfortunately you have to be ready for plenty of them (or at least in the season we were travelling in). Electric mosquito killers in each room would make the sleep even...
