I've been to the Nuat Thai in Tagbilaran and Libaong many times and was always treated in a very professional manner. I expected the same service when I stopped in at the Panglao branch near Alona.
I wanted to do the body scrub treatment because I was still feeling greasy from an oil massage earlier in the day. The receptionist told me it would be an hour wait since the table was already in use. After the hour was up, I returned for the treatment. I was led to the massage area, where there were cheap mattresses on the floor with curtains in between (like what you see in a typical low class spa).
At that point, I realized they were lying to me about the "table used for the body scrub" being used. The real reason for the delay is because they wanted to assign me with a certain gay therapist who was not available earlier. What added to my discomfort was the fact that there were no shorts offered (not even the disposable kind).
When I realized what was going on, I walked back out to the reception area and told them I was uncomfortable with the therapist they assigned me. Instead of offering me a different therapist, they just said "ok" and handed me my shoes.
I would never do business at this branch ever again. The facility is very low class compared to the other branches, the prices are higher, and they are very unprofessional in how they...
Read moreThe experience was terrible. I joined the oil massage for 90 mins, and turns out that getting facial allergy.
On that day (21 Mar) when I take off my cloth before the massage, I found that there is trash on the mattress. During the massage when I was naked, when I open my eyes I found at the door is half open (they use the cloth as the door). I was shocked by the environment they provided and can't imagine I was naked to anyone pass by for how long. They used only cloth to separate the rooms, and I knew that there were male guests next to my rooms. Suddenly the cloth for separating us dropped off, and I was only covered by a towel. The male therapist next door was looked at me, and my female therapist used a towel to cover my eyes immediately, and try to fix the ‘door’. It was such a ridiculous experience to be honest.
The environment is very bad, and the pillow& towels they have used are dirty I think. My entire face has allergy and tons of acne has burnt out after the massage. I do think that I need to see doctor when I return to my home town.
This is the worst experience I had for my birthday trip, I don't know why are there people recommending this shop. If you decide to get there for massage, don't use their pillow, don't use their towel to...
Read moreWe were scouting for an affordable massage in Panglao (where prices have risen with tourism) and found this Nuat Thai branch slightly away from the main Alona Beach area. Their rates were about half of most other places nearby — we paid ₱650 for a 1-hour Thai massage with oil on the back.
And wow — it turned out to be one of the best massages we’ve ever had, even compared to top places in Bangkok! Special thanks to Ate Lilian and Kuya Jhonel for their exceptional skills. This wasn’t just surface rubbing — they targeted nerve points perfectly, provided excellent Thai stretches, and gave instant relief.
I especially appreciate Ate Lilian’s attentiveness to my needs (I have sciatica pain). She provided an extra pillow for back support, avoided neck cracking as requested, and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. I also liked that they don’t crack necks without permission, unlike some other places I’ve been to.
It was so good that we actually went back the very next day — just before leaving Bohol! After each massage, they served warm honey ginger tea, the perfect way to end the session.
Highly recommend this branch and these two therapists — they...
