Everything was nice except for the manager. Booked a pool-front room for a 3D2N stay at their place. When we checked-in we were brought to the guest house by our tricycle tour guide, in which the receptionist told us that they offer FREE shuttle service from the airport. We were welcomed with complimentary drinks, helpful attendants and a nice ambiance from their reception area, to the pool and the room. It was their technician who was the one who turned on the aircon and plugged the refrigerator for us. It was only after almost an hour when we felt like the airconditioning wasn't reaching the temp we had set. Tried different set ups for the AC for another 30mins yet it was still warm. I tried to ask the technician if there is something wrong with our AC, which he immediately tried to clean the filter of the split type AC. I also informed their front desk staff about it. Still, nothing happened. After so, the other staff tried to clean the outside unit of the AC and asked if there was an improvement, unfortunately there was none. The technician told us that there was a problem with the unit. We then asked the receptionist if they can just transfer us to another room since we can't endure the AC's warm temp. Too bad there were only 2 rooms of the same unit we booked and the other rooms which were available is 500php/night higher than what we have booked and asked us if we are willing to pay the extra charge. My boyfriend didn't agree as it was not our fault that their AC isn't functioning well, their technician also agreed since he have proclaimed that it is really not functioning. We asked if we can talk to their manager about it yet at first she isn't giving us attention. There were also 2 guests before and after us who was also complaining at that time. The time we talked to her, she was close-minded, she did not even tried to check our room which she was insisting that it was functioning well. She was offering us a room too far at the back of the resort, which we declined since my reason for booking their place was their pool-front rooms. If I didn't insist on why we booked their place she would have not offered us the executive room (we did not ask for an upgraded room, we just want a pool-front room). Though, it doesn't look as well cleaned as the first room. It was her customer service and some guest related decision making that made us uncomfortable with her. Another scenario was when we were already about to check-out. Our booking includes breakfast, as we were to ride our service to El Nido, we were approached by one of the staffs regarding the 410php balance to settle. We were surprised to know about it since we didn't consume anything from the resort. It was noted that it was our breakfast that day and the shuttle from the airport. I told him about our booking including breakfast with it and that we were dropped at the resort by our tour guide. They even offered us that FREE shuttle from the airport and was charging us in the end. It was a bit uncomfortable that they do not have good communcation, hopefully will be better next time. Food, ambiance, pool and staff were nice, no questions about it.

A Relaxing and Convenient Stay at Blue Lagoon and Suites – Puerto Princesa✨️ I had a truly pleasant stay at Blue Lagoon and Suites in Puerto Princesa. The location is peaceful and perfect for those seeking a quiet escape, it’s just around 2 kilometers from the city center and very close to the airport, making it both accessible and relaxing. The property offers a tranquil atmosphere, especially with its inviting swimming pool that adds to the relaxing vibe. One thing I appreciated the most is that it has its own restaurant, so there's no need to worry about where to eat. Even better, they offer in-room dining, and meals can be served right to your room. Each room comes with a balcony, plus a table and chairs both inside and outside, making it comfortable to dine or unwind anytime. Security is also well-considered—CCTV cameras are installed in the aisles and corners for added peace of mind. The rooms are secure and well-equipped with locks, meeting my standards as a solo traveler. The room itself was clean, came with complimentary bottled water, a mini-fridge stocked with drinks for purchase, a television, fresh towels, and basic toiletries like soap, shampoo, and tissue. They also offer tours, including island hopping and city tours, which I took advantage of and really enjoyed. The only downside I found was transportation. The property is about 180 meters from the main highway, so if you don’t have a vehicle, you’ll need to walk a short distance to find a tricycle. But a great tip for fellow travelers—download the Backride Pinas app. It’s a very helpful platform where you can book rides like motorcycles, tricycles, cars, and even deliveries. It made getting around much easier for me. All in all, I had a great stay at Blue Lagoon and Suites. The food was consistently delicious, and I ordered all my meals from their restaurant. I would definitely book this place again and would highly recommend it to all travelers, especially those looking for a peaceful, secure, and comfortable stay in Puerto Princesa.🫰

AVOID,SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DISAPPOINTMENT, STAY ELSEWHERE. There is no safe access in and out of the property, it is dangerous unless you have a 4WD, can not walk up with suitcases, un even, spread out broken pavers, I feel sorry for people who have booked this outdated complex who have any mobility problems. We stayed in a so called deluxe villa, it was disgusting, room was small, considering the ridiculous price we paid, there is no kettle, tea or coffee or any complimentary water bottles, the ceiling fan looked impressive with lights, but did not work, small fridge was old, ice would melt in its freezer section, stained & needs replacing. Bathroom rusted, toilet roll holder, not properly fixed to wall, dirty shower, soap holder was caked in gunk, stained walls, toilet was stained, seat & lid were stained, towels old & hard, beds were ok, but linen was old & even frayed around the edges. No housekeeping done in rooms unless you request it, we found this out on our 3rd day when we asked if we could have some toilet paper and if they clean rooms. On numerous occasions across our stay we also had the unpleasurable experience of having the waft of a musty sewerage faeces smell in and outside our room. The pool was old but kept very clean it was the only positive of our stay. The pool & maintenance staff were very hard workers and friendly. Avoid the overpriced restaurant too, we only ate there once and sorry we did, the food was bland, soaked in oil, not one positive to mention. The arrogant lady manager was unsympathetic when I approached her about how the condition of the room and it does not reflect what's stated online, considering the expensive cost of the room,I said if I could I would stay elsewhere, or I should get part refund as this is ridiculous. The response was, you can leave but you still have to pay for stay, no refund. I advised her to expect a poor review, and she did not care. Please enjoy looking at the photos and judge for yourself.

This was the spot I go back to to visit even after renting of my own apartment in Puerto Princessa. This is without a doubt the best in the area. Location is right in the strip (Rizal Ave.) It's got everything one would need for an uncompromised stay in Puerto Princessa. The rooms feature good hot and cold water pressure, with a small fridge you can stock to your choosing. A full service bar and Kitchen is there . However I believe only available for breakfast and lunch? May be due to Pandemic which was beginning to weed out during my stay there. Definitely boast the best pool around for your lounging around it which has a portion of it designed specifically for Children's use. Large enough for one to swim laps in if desired. The rooms which surrounds the pool are spacious and comfortable, along with larger units available for larger groups and families available as well. The staff there is the best in Puerto Princessa. They go out if their way in assisting you and have all types of Island hopping tours available which they can arrange for you so all you do there is unwind and relax. Fortunate enough to have met owners and am greeted kindly by all . Breakfast available are very good , with your choice of either traditional Filipino cuisine or Western style . Both are incredible and very reasonably priced. Whether you are just arriving or looking for that extra effort accomodations including your location to enjoy Puerto Princessa City. The location and helpful staff make this in my opinion the best you'll find. Strategically located by many restaurants, and other stores of interest. You can relax there knowing everything is very close and only a tricycle ride away. Where as 50 Pesos will get you anywhere. This entry has gotten me considering another overnight there just to say Hello to owners and staff. Highly recommend visiting The Blue Lagoon when in Puerto Princessa for a relaxing day or night stay, or even a weekend of total relaxing and...
