Haim Chicken — Restaurant in Puerto Princesa

Let me first start by saying that the staff is very very friendly. The atmosphere is great as well. Nice and cozy decorated. The beer is served cold. But you do get a glass with ice in it. We Europeans are not used to drink beer that way though. We just want it to be served cold. The food, I ordered the Bicol Express. A beef stew of some kind. Mostly fat. Not very tasty. Doable though. 255 pesos and no rice with that. My wife had the fresh loempia, she did not like it. But that's her taste. For me it did not taste bad. Chicken wing was ok and so was the leg. We ordered one each with both unlimited rice and then we added another wings without ublimited rice (ca. 25 pesos less and the rice portion costs itself 18 pesos) but they put in the bill 3 chickens with unlimited rice. Also two portions rice were added to the bill and not counted as unlimited. 5% for service (quite funny in Philippines to pay for service though..) will be automatically added to the bill just as fyi as it is written small-ish at the bottom of the menu. Excellent food, service, ambiance....total enjoyment. My wife and I searched and searched....we stumbled upon this gem and never looked back. Radz, our server was awesome.... answered all of our friendly questions and made great recommendations. Thanks for that Radz!
