Boutique Hostel Lodz — Hotel in Łódź

We had 2 options for accomodation when we arrived to the railway station of Lodz, and somehow we arrived to somewhere else first. Unfortunately that place hadnt have a double room so we moved to the Boutique Hostel. Our baggages are quite heavy and according to the descriptions it is close to the city centre..well, it is depending on the definition of the city centre. :) Piotrowska street is very-very long, this hostel is 800 m to the Piotrowska house number 255, a facade of a building is cca 10 m as an avarage so sum is 2.5 km.. In my opinion the city centre for tourists should be defined as from Manufactura to Piotrowska 123.. Hostel is very clean everywhere, so I kept my tradition to walk barefoot inside, shower rooms and toilets are extremely clean with nice design. We got the room 23 with twin beds even we asked for double ones. After we entered the room I felt like in a hospital and direction of the beds was very-very wrong..never should be a bed directly pointing to a door or a window..sooo..no worries, all the beds were easy to move so we changed the whole enterieur in this room and we slept amazing here, because the matrass is comfortable :) Unfortunately the Rosmarin restaurant was not open at all and the so called kítchen was a room with tables and chairs next to the walls, a microwave, a hot water tank, a fridge and some paper cups and plates. Stuff very friendly and helpful, you have a possibility to leave your baggage there after you check out. I want kindly to suggest to the receptionists if someone is looking for a beer place, please, tell immediately without delay the keyword: Piwoteka.. Prices was incredible good thanks to the offer at a well-known website. Design is something amazing I truly like: an old industrial building, part of a factory or a warehouse was renovated and redesigned..if I ever would have a possibility to own something like this in Budapest I would do a cultural complex from that. Wifi connection is surprisingly stable and fast. Before we left our room we didnt moved back the furnitures..I would love to know the opinion of the hostel about the changes...

This hostel is simple, clean and easy to reach by local transport. It has nice pubs/restaurants which are value for money and tasty. The wifi is good, breakfast is 3/5 (cornflakes, sausage, breads, Jam, Mayo, Ketchup). Big superstores like decathalon are near by, so is Piotrowska street and another cathedral for sightseeing. The train station and zoo is also close by. The room in itself is cosy, has a TV, nice beds and blankets. The bathroom/toilets are shared but very clean and always vacant for use. The front desk staff are kind and helpful and speak in English (like most of Lodz). Of course. Nice heating...

Niestety sie zawiodłam i to bardzo mocno. Przy rezerwacji obejrzałam dokładnie zdjęcia żeby sie nie naciąć i nie rozczarować. Nadszedł dzień przyjazdu czyli minioną sobota 21.06.2025r, już przy samym wejściu zobaczyłam obrzydliwy baner nad wejściem i obskurny budynek ale ok pomyślałam ze nie szata zdobi i może będzie w środku ok, wchodzę, melduje sie recepcjonistka daje mi kartę do pokoju, przekazuje ze jest to numer 22 na pierwszym piętrze, podziękowałam i poszłam i tu znowu rozczarowanie bo nie mogłam znaleźć schodów. Pani nie wskazala drogi, serio błądziłam i po chwili w końcu znalazłam schody i mogłam iść do upragnionego pokoju żeby wypocząć. Po schodach już widziałam ze czystość ten hostel nie widział. Niestety, doszłam do pokoju wchodzę i zamurowało mnie w tym pokoju smierdziało jak w melinie dosłownie! Choćby piło tam przede mną całe stado alkoholików 🫣drzwi brudne, podłoga brudna ehh szkoda gadać. To bym jeszcze przetrawiła ale ten zapach spowodował ze nie mogłam tam zostać. Poszłam do Pani z recepcji i poprosiłam grzecznie o zwrot gotówki bo jest całkiem coś innego niż przy rezerwacji a dla mnie czystość jest priorytetem, Pani oznajmiła ze to jest hostel i ze Panie sprzątające dzisiaj były po czym powiedziała że ja mam rezerwację bezzwrotną czyli miałam do wyboru albo spać w cuchnącym pokoju albo stracić 140 zł no oczywiście wybrałam tą drugą opcję, ponieważ nie wyobrażałam sobie spać, ani godziny w tym HOSTELU jak to Pani powiedziała śmiejąc mi się w twarz. Jestem zażenowana tą sytuacją i radzę Wam unikać tego miejsca jeśli nie chcecie sobie do domu przywieść pluskiew czy innego robactwa. Był to mój pierwszy wypad do Łodzi i niestety miałam go zepsuty przez bezczelną i odpryskliwą recepcjonistke, która zamiast jakoś pomóc, może zaproponować inny pokój załagodzić sytuacje to jeszcze mnie poniżyła....
