We choose Accor hotels because they guarantee certain level and standards wherever you go. You always know what to expect. We have been greeted and checked in efficiently, all the staff was extremly nice and polite. The hotel is very simple but there is nothing missing if you need to stay for 1 or 2 nights. Beds are very comfortable, rooms are cozy, however the furniture looks quite old, dated. All basic amenities are provided (kettle, tea, coffee, shower gel, hairdryer). As for 2* rooms and bathroom are spacious. AC is working well, however it made some annoying noise at night in our room. Bar offers variety of drinks and small but tasty selection of snacks. We were missing only a chance to eat some real lunch/dinner in the hotel, but we were adviced to visit the nearby restaurant and it was perfect. We have been given free drinks during our stay (for Silver status guest). We have asked to buy some cookies/cakes for the coffe we have ordered, as it was quite early and we had no breakfast on the way to Łódź. We have been given a plate of local sweets from the bakery totally free of charge. It was such a nice addition to our stay and unexpected "bonus". Small things make a big change in the perception of the place but the most important are the people who make you feel welcomed and taken care of, even if you stay in ONLY 2* hotel. I am a former Accor employee myself and I appreciate that the chain stays true to its values and highest customer service standards. The hotel is located in the heart of the city, so you can easily walk to any of the main city's attractions. well communicated with the rest of the city, very close to Atlas Arena event/concert hall. Thank you for your hospitality...
Read moreLocation: at the bottom of the main street (itself about a mile long), located next to numerous attractions and many tram routes (Piotrkowska station), 20-30 minutes walk from the main Fabryczna station or a 3 zloty 10 minute trip on tram 18B (every 15 minutes). Couldn't ask for a better location.||||Check-in: very quick, room keys were already prepared. I do not do on-line check in with Accor as it usually screws up any ALL bonus point offers. This Ibis has retained a proper reception desk which is a much better and quicker level of service as staff have everything they need to hand, rather than roaming around with a tablet.||||Room: Typical Ibis colours and furnishings, if you've stayed in one Ibis you've stayed in them all! Only thing I would change is getting rid of the waterproof lining on top of the comforter on the bed. By the third night that was getting a little annoying.||||Design: the hotel is a huge atrium, and on three sides it only has rooms facing out, and the fourth side it also has rooms facing inwards too. I don't think I'd like to stay in these, However as a design I really liked it.||||Breakfast: another plus, decent selection of hot and cold breakfast items. Really tasty mixed fruit salad is particularly memorable. Staff worked very hard clearing tables and refilling all the food items. They couldn't have worked any harder or faster. ||||Only had one quick drink in the bar so can't comment much. I think the restaurant was closed as they were advertising to use the Novotel next door.||||So, location, design, price, and yes ALL status recognition, this maybe my favourite...
Read moreThis rating was kind only because of staff working, if you want cheap hotel near downtown this is the place, you can have everything, Loud banging A/C if it works at all easy showers and small living areas, a TV that isn't even capable of connection like the avg hotel(Smart Tv) no fridge or microwave to keep your goods you buy or a way to heat up your meals unless you go downstairs and for breakfast/lunch/dinner same runny eggs everyday and other then ceaser salad anything else made, gives you food poison, the staff is friendly, the sleep is minimal, whether guest being loud till 4 am or staff allowing drilling for hours until 4pm in the afternoon, you can have a room that will make you want to not stay, not to mention room keys in need of constant resets, but least see the rest of lodz, I have stayed in over 150 hotels this is the third worst, but this means they can always improve so there can be promise...
