Title: Tasty Meze and Unusual Main Course at Al Medina Restaurant

Review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

During our exploration of Krakow's Jewish Quarter, we came across Al Medina Restaurant, a Tunisian eatery that intrigued us. Our experience at this restaurant was a mix of hits and misses, resulting in an overall positive impression.

The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the meze, which was simply delicious. The variety of flavors and textures in the appetizers delighted our taste buds and provided a delightful start to our dining experience.

However, we found the main course, specifically the grill dishes, to be a bit unusual for our Turkish palates. The flavors and preparations deviated from what we were accustomed to, which might be a matter of personal taste. While not bad, it didn't match our expectations based on Turkish cuisine.

The service, unfortunately, fell short during our visit. The wait staff seemed inexperienced and the service was slower than desired. It's worth noting that this might have been an isolated incident, and improvements could have been made since our visit.

Despite the shortcomings in service, the flavorful meze and the opportunity to try Tunisian cuisine made our experience worthwhile. Al Medina Restaurant offers a unique dining experience in Krakow's Jewish Quarter, and for those willing to explore different culinary influences, it's worth a visit.

In conclusion, if you're seeking delicious meze and are open to trying Tunisian flavors, Al Medina Restaurant in Krakow's Jewish Quarter can be a good choice. While the main course might be unconventional for those with Turkish taste preferences, the overall experience, coupled with the restaurant's unique offerings, merits a...

Stepping into this Tunisian house was like entering a world of rich aromas, warm hospitality, and vibrant flavors. From the moment I walked in, the scent of spices like cumin, harissa, and coriander filled the air, promising an unforgettable culinary experience.

The food was simply phenomenal. Every dish was crafted with depth and authenticity, capturing the essence of Tunisia’s diverse cuisine. The brik—a crispy, golden pastry stuffed with egg and tuna—was perfectly flaky and bursting with flavor. The couscous, served with tender lamb and slow-cooked vegetables, was light yet deeply satisfying, absorbing the bold spices and savory broth. And the harissa—spicy yet balanced—added the perfect kick to every bite.

Beyond the food, the ambiance was just as inviting. The decor featured intricate tilework, warm earthy tones, and handcrafted lanterns, creating a cozy yet elegant setting. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, making sure every guest felt at home while sharing stories about Tunisia’s rich culinary traditions.

Whether you’re a fan of North African cuisine or experiencing it for the first time, this Tunisian house is a must-visit. Every bite tells a story, and every moment spent here is a feast for the senses. I’ll definitely be coming back!and the owner is so friendly gave us tea and dessert he was super nice bless him

Spent £50 for some cold lamb and rice, still in shock about the experience. I think it should be against the law to serve a dish that's meant to be piping hot, cold. Maybe me and my brother were unlucky, maybe it's because we were tourists, maybe it's because we were too nice i'm still not quiet sure how this happened, but you cannot trust these reviews now a days. If i knew it would've been this bad I would've just got a shawarma from beirut for £5. My review is honest and genuine. I am not complaining about the price i'm complaining about you thinking it's acceptable to bring out £50 stone cold platter of food, how is this even possible? I'll tell you how it's possible , you served us left over food that was not re-heated properly. I was so hungry and looking forward to a good experience, I felt embarrassed that I had to call over your waiter and send the food back but i refuse to eat well cooked soft fatty lamb and cold rice. You seriously need to re-evaluate your service and your defensive response as a restaurant manager. Do not undermine my intelligence and show some respect to your customers. I handled the situation very patiently. Your business would not survive in the UK, how dare you accuse me of being dishonest. May God strike me down if I am liar, sort your business out and stop accusing me leaving a...

We ordered couscous with meat and merguez sausage. Total was 120zl However, we were scammed, according to the menu, each of our meals was 10zl less than on our receipt. So, they overcharged us by 20zl. We talked with the owner about it but weren't convinced by his answer, as on the menu the prices are clear. We did get a free Baklava, but as it is 12zl, it's still less than the extra amount we paid. 20zl is not a lot but as a foreign student living abroad it is impactful for me. Since the owner likes to argue unprofessionally, I'm happy to edit my review to address his points and lower the stars. 😊 First of all, if you can read very clearly in the menu, merguez dish, as pictured is 37zl , the exact dish we got, doesn't say anything about sandwich. Secondly, couscous with MEAT, at the bottom of the page clearly reads 49zl not more than that. If you charge 12zl per singular piece of baklava, then that's very expensive and I don't recommend that anyone buys that because it is not worth 12zl per piece. Lastly, I can see you are still making up scams, the fries was not "free". If you can read, especially since I linked the menu, it says merguez dish WITH FRIES. Very clearly. Good luck, your business won't last based on scams.
