Visited here after the tour guide recommended, mentioning that its prices are not that different than classic cafe chains which is not true.
The atmosphere inside is nice. The design is great. You feel the elegancy. But that's all.
I read other reviews mentioning 'reasonably priced'. Really? Even though I can afford all these, the logic kicks in and makes you question things even after first experience.
There's nothing special about their overpriced coffees and pastries. Classic coffee costing costing 25 pln (more than the double on the market). Is it made of Sumatran beans? Maybe Ethiopia Sidamo? No. Just classic coffee.
Cake portions are small and over priced as well.
They charge you automatically a service fee (10%). That was interesting to see after living in Poland for many years. I honestly say that I haven't seen a smiley face or excellent service. The ladies were grumpy staring at you with a mean face. Only a gentlemen was kind enough. The service is slow even though it wasn't crowded.
You can enjoy more in a local place where you can choose your favorite beans, tailored to your taste with a more affordable price. You'd see what's 'reasonably priced' :) There will always be people fancying themselves to go to a place Bristol Cafe but you'd see the uniqueness more in a local place in my humble opinion.
This place is good for taking your loved one for a date. Not a place that you'd usually go. If you're a tourist, you'll probably like. If you're local then I'm not sure how often you'd visit when you're around...
Read moreThe Bristol Bar in Warsaw is a true institution, a shining example of Art Deco elegance that has stood the test of time since its opening in 1903. Nestled in the heart of the city, the bar is a living testament to the golden age of Warsaw's cultural scene, offering a sophisticated blend of classic charm and modern flair. The walls are adorned with historic photographs, each telling a story of the city’s rich past. Among these captivating images is one of Ignacy Jan Paderewski, a man whose name resonates deeply in both the musical world and the history of Poland. Paderewski was not only a celebrated pianist and composer but also a prominent figure in Poland’s fight for independence. His legacy, immortalized in this iconic space, adds a layer of depth to the Bristol Bar's storied ambiance. Here, time seems to slow down as patrons sip their drinks, enveloped by the whispers of history, music, and a deep-rooted sense of national pride.
And to enjoy the place, I read Honesty Bar (found on Amazon and released in May 2025), a great thriller ( English/French) without violence … mostly in...

I’ve been a loyal customer of Café Bristol for ages, but after my most recent visit, I can confidently say it’s no longer worth going. I arrived and politely waited (at the staff’s request), yet watched in disbelief as a waitress with glasses and served a Polish woman who came after me, along with a parade of other guests, again, after me. It was humiliating and infuriating to be shoved aside like I didn’t matter.
To add insult to injury, he flat-out asked me what I planned to do in the café (as if it wasn’t obvious) and then suggested I find dessert somewhere else. I’ve never felt so unwelcome or disrespected in a place I used to frequent regularly. The once-charming atmosphere has been replaced by ARROGANCE and shockingly poor customer service.
With how appalling this treatment was, I see no reason to return. Spare yourself the frustration, head to Raffles or Hotel Verte instead, where you’ll actually be treated with dignity. Café Bristol has completely...
