Iggy Pizza Breakfast
After being bombarded with instagram ads about the weekend breakfast at Iggy Pizza and hearing about it a few times, we decided to finally give it a try. To be honest we had our doubts about a pizza place serving breakfast but we are happy to say we were pleasantly surprised.
Italian English 26,90 Fried Eggs & Pesto 24,90 Chocolate Mousse 13,90 Cappuccino 12 + 2 (for plant milk)

The Italian English Breakfast was served with 2 fried eggs, bacon, fries with truffle mayo, bolognese, a slice of grilled tomato and pecorino. This dish came together quite nicely. The eggs were cooked perfectly as the should be, runny yolk and firm whites. It was also nice to get fries that were properly crisp. Now, this was our second time having this bolognese, the first being at Biggy where we were less than impressed. Even though it is the same recipe somehow this version was considerable better and actually quite nice. Overall a great dish for breakfast.
The Fired Eggs w. Pesto and avocados was a really nice dish. Again the eggs were cooked perfectly, the avocado was ripe, the bread was nice and soft and the pesto carried a nice flavour. Our server did warn us that the dish was really salty and it was. Thought it may have been too salty for us, we can see why this dish was designed this way for the salt lovers out there. If you aren’t a fan of really salty foods you will want to avoid this one. Overall another solid great breakfast plate.
Now to the Chocolate Mousse. This was by far the best thing on the table. Its not often that we eat dessert, especially not for breakfast but this “breakfast” item really caught our eye on the menu. The chocolate mouse was covered with toasted pistachios, truffle oil and it was perfectly salted. The texture was light and creamy. Though it was very rich it was hard to leave any behind. This is a must have if you get the chance to go to Iggy for breakfast
Now of-course not all experiences are perfect. Please note the following: The cappuccino wasn’t really a cappuccino. The milk was not properly steamed, there was not enough foam. It was served in the wrong cup, and simply the beverage was too large to be called a cappuccino. And finally the tomato in the Italian English breakfast. We know that great tomatoes are too expensive and hard to come by in the dead of winter. This was not a pleasant tomato to eat. Though it being lightly grilled made it palatable. We would still recommend this dish just lower your expectations for the tomatoes a bit.
This was a great experience and to be honest we are pleasantly surprised by the breakfasts we had. We would definitely return for breakfast and if you have not yet tried it we would...
Read moreI recently dined at Iggy Pizza, and I must say, their pizza was a delightful surprise. The thin, well-crafted crust struck the perfect balance between crispy and tender, ensuring each bite was a joy. It's rare to find a crust that is neither under nor overcooked, and they've nailed it.
Their cocktail selection, albeit simple, didn't disappoint. Each concoction was refreshing and well-balanced, complementing the meal without overshadowing the main event – the pizza.
However, the dessert was an unexpected turn. I ordered an egg liqueur with cream, anticipating a cool, smooth finish to my meal. To my surprise, it was served hot. This choice seemed odd for a liqueur, and the heat intensified the liqueur's inherent harshness, making it challenging to enjoy.
In summary, while the pizza and cocktails are a definite must-try, the dessert menu might benefit from a reevaluation. My overall rating for Iggy Pizza is 4 out of 5 stars – a great choice for pizza lovers, but approach the dessert...
Read moreGoing through the list of the top places in town it’s easy to see similarities between the top options but as we were only here for a couple of nights we could only pick one. We picked Iggy and it did not disappoint, the Neopolitan style pizza was excellent with a crust so fluffy even my girlfriend ate it without the need of an extra dip. We got the standard margarita which is simple but delightful, no extras needed to compliment this classic. We also got the Garlic pizza bread which was amazing and also provided great level of flavour across a smaller base. The waitress warned us when the two of us ordered that the garlic pizza bread is smaller than a pizza but we felt the two were the perfect size to share for two people who just wanted to enjoy some great pizza. I can’t say if this is the best pizza place in Wroclaw but i can certainly understand why everyone else...
