Leevin Guest House — Hotel in Faro

As a solo female traveler, I take feeling safe very seriously and during my stay at Leevin Guesthouse, I felt very safe and secure. This was a great place to stay! I was using the train to get to/from Faro and this guesthouse is perfect for train, bus and air travel, across the road from the train station and a 5 minute walk from the bus terminal, 10 mins from the ferry terminal. I was checked in by a lovely young man from Brazil, I apologize for not getting his name, he was friendly and very efficient showing me my room and telling me about the property and giving lots of recommendations. My room (Verde Suite) was extremely comfortable and I appreciated the amenities, comfy bed and couch and a great shower, plenty hot water and nice plush towels. The kitchen was well equipped and having space in the fridge was a great perk. It was clean and tidy, tables and chairs to sit and eat food at. I enjoyed the outside tables but my favourite was the rooftop terrace, I enjoyed several evenings sat up there enjoying the sunset and being able to sit up there after dark with comfy furniture and lighting. There are lots of restaurants and grocery stores close to the guesthouse and a very clean laundromat 2 mins away, that cost €7 to wash and dry a load and that included the detergent and softener.

My only complaint was that other guests are not always considerate of others, that's no fault of the guesthouse. It would be nice to have hall lights on a timer as people didn't turn the lights off at night and the light did shine through the door. The ear plugs provided were...

I can not give high enough praise for this accommodation. As a last minute decision to spend time in Faro, I booked 2 nights here. Prices are very reasonable and online check in was a breeze. The guesthouse is literally across the street from the train station which is so handy when you have luggage or arrive late. But you don't get any of the noise of the train at all. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the forum or any of the sights Faro has to offer. I was greeted so warmly by the host that I instantly felt at home. The room is the cleanest room I have ever stayed in! Love the common kitchen and solarium as well, also extremely well cared for. There were constant text communications about my stay which felt like they cared. They even include restaurant recommendations to which I went to 2 and was pleasantly impressed. A lovely place right by Faro station so great for trains but also not far to airport. Staff so lovely and helpful. I turned up late at night as rain got in late and was too tired to do my onward travelling to Tavira. I stumbled across this place as just opposite the station. It was such a good find. My twin room was super clean and looked brand new decor and furniture. Bed super comfy too. It was a shared bathroom but you only share with 1 other room and again it was super clean and modern new decor. Shower was great. It is also really close to some good restaurants.
