Hotel Sirius, Funchal — Hotel in Funchal

Thank you so much Bianca and Claudio for the stay. They gave me to opportunity to stay in the hotel, when I needed it. I was in an emergency and they allowed me to stay there.

I could work there. The Fifth floor was really cool (I suggest you to go there). And for the budget around the island is really cool to have a place to stay there. The Location also Its amazing and you have access to breakfast with them.

Key important things:

WiFi range is a bit low so maybe Internet do not work really good if you use your Phone and laptop at the same time. But if you only use your laptop that would be totally alright.

If you sleep close to the first floor and you like to sleep with open Windows I suggest you take taps for your ears.

They have towels! Which is really good cuz you don't need to purchase them or take them with you if you have only one bag.

Also, they are really kind. I asked them to leave my bag with them. And they took good care of it. Just in case you are looking to leave before check out. Or arriving before check in.

They are open at 06h30 am. In case you need to make a reservation.

Suggestions for the hotel: (I know Its an hotel, not a hostal) but for freelances or online workers having a table inside the Fifth floor would be nice.

Close to my room (103 104) one of the walls was a bit wet. Maybe from the floor up. I would check it out.

We spent 5 nights here and it was a fantastic stay, well worth the money for a classic 2 star hotel. It is a good budget hotel in a great location, close to the marina and the stop Mercado is only 5 mins by walk for the Aerobus (Airport shuttle). There are plenty of restaurants and cafe within walking distance. The supermarket Continente is just a minute walk from the hotel.||||The hotel staff were extremely polite and kind and they allowed us early check in and late check out as we had to catch our flight in the evening. The room was quite spacious with an ensuite bathroom and also has a small balcony with a table and set of two chairs. The room was very clean with very comfortable bed with bedside tables. Also has a large cabinet, tv and dressing table with mirror. On the 5th floor, you have the lounge where you can relax get some good views of the city. The breakfast offered is very basic but good enough to fill your stomach. The plates however needs little bit of more cleaning.
