At the 1st glace it was nice local place with nice vibe. Huge fish tank, a lot of plants, friendly staff. Delivered good house wine and delicious starter. All was nice until main meals came in. Ordered steak and local fish. Both seemed to be kept in not refrigerated room. Fish was soaked in ammonia, 1st time I tasted such a pass-due fish. Steak was huge but from looks seemed to be boiled and not grilled. After cutting it open it was completely raw followed by smell and taste of bad beef, like it was kept overnight on a table. Staff could say only sorry. As apology or just as tradition we got some local cinnamon liquor. Not to mention we had to pay full price for our meals. We really liked this place where both locals and tourists eat out or just sip coffee/beer. I had a daily set menu for € 11.50 (soup, bread, steak with chips and salad, dessert, drink, and coffee), hubby had a steak with mushroom sauce (€ 8.50), both very good (mine was a bit on a drier side but it was OK). Beer was OK for € 2 and local red wine was excellent. The chocolate mousse was delicate and yummy. At the end we got a frozen liquor to try which was sweet and strong, a nice icing on the cake. A family restaurant with a local atmosphere. We visited this restaurant as a family of four for lunch. The staff was very hospitable. The interior is divided into two parts: a restaurant and a bar. We sat in the bar area, which is a little outdated and full of locals, but I think it has its charm. Of course, it's a matter of taste. The food was prepared in a family style, you get the impression that it could be served on a Portuguese table during Sunday dinner.
