Don’t go here unless you like getting scammed. Basically I ordered an oatmeal thinking that it would include a cup of milk too because the menu literally said “oatmeal, milk, etc” but apparently it was just referring to the milk used to prepare the oatmeal and not some extra milk on the side. This is totally wrong because if two ingredients are separated by a comma it means that they are two different things, it would be like writing “fish&chips, chips” like you wouldn’t write chips twice unless you actually got an extra portion lol. Anyway the staff didn’t tell me that and charged me for an extra cup of milk I totally wouldn’t have ordered otherwise, they also played dumb cuz actually when they didn’t bring my cup of milk the first time I told them “can I have the milk which is INCLUDED in my order?” pointing at the menu and they didn’t say anything about it not being included. I didn’t argue much cuz I was using the menu in Portuguese and I’m not a native speaker but later I looked it up and papas de aveia is 100% equal to oatmeal so the milk was included. It’s once again one of those chic looking places but with a soulless, rude staff who only cares about money. Furthermore a friend of mine ordered the toffee pancakes and told me they looked better than...
Read moreWe came here for brunch on a weekday. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The design is very cute, a lot of thought seems to have gone into it. Seating on the outside is next to a busy little street on little wooden tables. While these are cute as well, there is a small wooden beam on one side of the table, making it very uncomfortable to sit there. I had to contort myself in order to find a position that worked for me.
Service is very friendly, English is spoken. I had the golden milk, which was tasty. The cappuccino was too weak and not comparable to good coffee like it can be found at third wave shops.
The Cheezy was very tasty and perfect to be shared. The Mya toast was also very good, but the bread was a tad soggy. We also ordered and shared the Oriental porridge. While it looked very tasty with its assortment of fruits on top I found the spice mix (which is the same as in the golden milk) to be way too overpowering. For my liking it should be toned down so there is not a punch of spice that covers everything else.
Overall, not a bad place, but there are brunch options that I would prefer.

Read moreAs a tourist I love this place, but definitely not a "local" spot.
Great and super cute place to have brunch if you are in Funchal. The menu offers a variety of options for all tastes (including vegan and vegetarian). There are toasts, sandwiches & more! Also a great drink menu with things like hot chocolate, juices, smoothies, etc. They can also make your coffee "pink" for an up-charge (.80 euros, which was very reasonable compared to US standards - I didn't do this, but if you're into that it is cool).
This was my 2nd time coming here and I got the same dish both times, so I must have thought it was that good! I got the Mya toast (beet hummus, avocado, poached eggs, feta). My husband got the avocado toast with sun-dried tomatoes and it was super flavorful!
Inside and outside seating, but pretty small seating areas, so if it is a busier time of year I would recommend going early to make sure you get a table.
The portions are a good size for brunch and the coffee is delicious! I also love the immunity shot. Would definitely visit if in...
