Henri's Apartments Páteo de Santo António — Hotel in Lagos

Review update - we’ve just left after a 2 wonderful month stay. Family and friends came in and out so extra supplies and service like towels and bed changes and cleaning were all handled with ease. We’ll be back again next year. Original review below I don't think we have ever stayed somewhere that surpassed our expectations in every way. Jorge was always and immediately available for even the most trivial question. He's a superb 'host' and building manager. The apartment: Our 3 bedroom 3 bathroom apartment was perfect for our month long stay with various visitors who came for shorter periods. Everything was as represented - or better. Every detail is thoughtfully planned and family friendly. As grandparents we really appreciated the common playroom and the warm indoor pool - the rooftop pool was being used by some intrepid soul but it was February! Beds and bedding are comfortable. Bathrooms are highly functional and well designed. Heated floors were very much appreciated in February. We are good cooks and the kitchen is better than fine. We very much appreciated the Bosch dishwasher, fridge, washer & dryer. The location: Absolutely fantastic! As avid cooks we really enjoyed our daily trips to the Mercato for fresh fish and wonderful produce e.g. artichokes in February...The beach is just down the hill, great restaurants all around, 3 museums practically next door, pharmacy so close, a lovely library with a charming children's section 100 feet away. This was the best accommodation we had in Europe to date and that includes over a month worth of stays. The manager Jorge is awesome, very helpful and goes above and beyond to make sure your experience is wonderful. When we arrived in the apartment there were an assortment of bottles of wine, water, sparking water and desserts from a local bakery that were incredible. The apartment itself is spacious with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, and a large combined living room and dining room. The kitchen was well equipped. There is an indoor pool as well as a rooftop outdoor pool, with lounge chairs and expansive views of the beach and Lagos town. And the location puts you within easy walking distance to all the restaurants, cafes, bars, supermarkets and stores in Lagos, as well as the boardwalk to Ponta da Piedade. Overall an excellent and exceptional experience. Jorge who was the host made everyone feel super comfortable, showed us around the building and left some welcome gifts. The place is children and family friendly and located close to the beach and the old town. The apartment was well accommodated, had even a baby bath and toys for kids to play on the beach!

The sports apartment had even the table football, the pool downstairs had a lot of accessories such as diving rings and swimming goggles.

I mean, you just need to get there and you have everything, no need to take stuff with you.

I would recommend to anyone who's looking for a great accomodation and stress-free stay - we couldn't ask for more...
