HF Fenix Lisboa 4*
The 4 stars hotel without regular duvet covers, towels, hard beds, super contrast shower from extreme warm to cold water and iconic iron.
We booked this hotel by really big mistake, because HF Fenix Lisboa, HF Fenix Garden and HF Fenix Music is not the same hotels, even they are laying at the same spot.
About our stay at HF Fenix: Well we really still can’t understand that it’s 4 stars hotel. After long journey we decided to take a chill and relax on our bed. The first thing we discovered was, that our duvet is just packed in 2 big bed sheets and duvet is completely open on sides.
We contacted the reception and asked them to fix our duvet with normal duvet cover, since it’s not so hygienic for us to sleep without duvet cover that is completely open and can touch the skin. Short time after we got cleaning staff at our room and the lady had some language issues to understand what we need, after back and forward she took our duvet and went to sew it. We got back the duvet cover that is to small and still completely open, but now only on one side. We diced to go down to reception and showed them the pictures, just to confirm that the our problem is still not solved and it shouldn’t look this way. But it was not so much help to get and given up.
Shower is like nightmare with unstable water temperature. First you get ok temperature, but after some minutes starts the rollercoaster, you going to feel your skin burns, and after is going to be ice cold.
In the middle of our stay we came back to our hotel room after long and warm day outside. Time to take a nightmare shower! Well, we didn’t get the new towels from cleaning staff. Calling reception and asking them for new bath towels and they tell us that…. THEY DON’T HAVE ANY BIG TOWELS for today! We got some small hands towels to dry whole body.
The next day is the same problem: We came to our hotel room after long city sightseeing at 30*C outside and been thinking to take a shower, but still no towels and we got the same answer from reception…. WE DON’T HAVE ANY BIG TOWELS TODAY EITHER.
Hotel staff sounds very arrogant on the way they talked to us, it was no apologies,no excuses.
Only big plus in this hotel is location (2 min walk to subway and 10 min to the city centre). But does it worth to sleep in hard bed without bed cover, burn your skin in shower, no big towels and rude staff is up to you.

Read moreWell, what can I say , HF Fenix Garden, you have done yourself proud! |My friend and I have just got back from 5 days in Lisbon , and, from start to finish, this hotel was brilliant. |Firstly, my friend and I arrived at the hotel around 10 am, and the lovely gentleman at the front desk, let us check- in early, within minutes of arriving. The hotel itself is modern, clean and smelt lovely ! . We were very pleased with our twin room . We had the garden side of the hotel, so , no traffic noise, in fact there was no noise at all, for the four nights we stayed. The beds were large and comfortable . The room was clean . Vending machines in the hallway which sold drinks and snacks . There is a lovely garden with garden furniture and shade on the second floor . Breakfast was nice . A small selection of hot food eg bacon,sausages , beans ,scrambled egg and either potato or veggies . (Not both) Selection of cold meats , cheeses , fruits, ceareals, porridge, rolls,bread, and different pastries and cakes . My only gripe was they only supplied tea plates to eat off , which is too small . I get that it probably saves wastage . I have got to give a big shout out to Sergio in the restaurant. He always greeted us with a smile. He was very helpful with advice on what to do, and where to go . Such a lovely gentleman, and he went out of his way to help . I hope he gets recognition for this ! Also the lovely Bruan, who greeted us upon entry everyday with a smile . In fact, every member of staff were fantastic. Front desk especially, helped us on numerous occasions . Location was fantastic. Walking distance of everything. Metro and bus stops virtually right by the hotel . I would definitely stay there again and will recommend it to friends . Well done ! Read moreHave been in the HF Fénix for 4 nights. Originally we have booked the HF Fénix Music - but since COVID-19 and less bookings we have been „upgraded“ to the HF Fénix 4Star Hotel.
Well what can I say... I’m not happy with the stay.
First of all - for me personally it is more a downgrade since I was looking forward to have a cool and stylish room in the HF Fénix Music - the rooms in the HF Fénix are ok but ordinary and nothing special. Since we got no information beforehand (email?) we were just informed at the very last moment when we wanted to check-in. That is Unprofessional!
The room we got was really loud (room 512) because it is facing the roundabout (Marques de Pombal) We got another room after we had a discussion with the reception. Room 226 was quiet - but the room itself was also really small, especially the bathroom is a joke (remember this is a 4 star hotel)
The stuff of the HF Fénix is somehow not really friendly - two short visits at the HF Fénix Music made me think that the stuff there is much cooler and more friendly.
The WiFi is really bad in all locations (at least in both rooms we had)
The breakfast was - considering COVID-19 situation - OK. But to be honest, what was offered is nothing compared to the breakfast normally is offered. We still payed a normal price and no discount... so the expectation was higher.
I will definitely never book a HF Fénix hotel in the future...
Only good point: Cleaning of the room was good! No complaints here.
