It is always pleasent to visit new places and discover that quality restaurants are blooming all over Lisbon and that not only the most usual and more trendy areas can offer a proper spot with a good meal.
So if you are wondering where to go in Lisbon to have a nice dinner in an amazing spot that is not in the usual tourist routes go to Intendente and visit Infame.
You will get inside a very modern spot with a very clean but pleasent decoration and atmosphere. And for sure I can say that this simplicity will be a constant for the food and service in this place.
I could be very detailed in what I could say about the food but the main idea for me is that you will eat what you order without any complexity in the mix of flavours and ingridients but for sure marvelously cooked and well combined.
Will you get any wanna be a Michelin star restaurant presentation? No. Will you love every moment until the last bite? For sure from the starter up to the desert.
So why not a rate higher than 4? Details...when you achieve such a good level in your food and in your space you need to push your details to the same level...
Two attention points in my opinion: 1- the music was to loud! Please...this is a restaurant...it is supose to people to talk without screaming to ear each other...lower the volume and achive a smoother environment to everyone in the space.
2- the service...altough very friendly it lacked in focus...it is not admissible for the staff to forget to order one of the two deserts that the clients requested...one simple rule that can be used...double check after receiving the order from the clients.
Apart from details this is for sure a must go place to have a nice meal in Lisbon in a different area of the city that more and more should be explored and discovered.
But never forget...at a certain point...it is all...
Read moreI had such high hopes for this place — I’m honestly shocked by the difference between the reviews and our opinion of the dinner here. The service was atrocious from the start: the host/server all but threw the menus at us before walking away, and no one even tried to be nice until we were paying the bill. Let’s not even talk about how the bottle of wine we ordered (which was expensive for the area) was kept at the bar and not at our table — and so I’d have to sometimes just stare at it from across the room hoping for a refill. The “creme” lobster/crab soup was anything but “creme.” Watery and grainy with barely any lobster or crab. The duck entree was completely raw — and I was scared to ask them to make it just a little less so (and for good reason, since it then came back torched to a crisp). I almost NEVER send anything back to the kitchen, but duck CAN carry salmonella, and I’ve never seen it this raw in all my travels (including France, which I consider the connoisseurs of duck). One of the most unpleasant meals we’ve had in our entire month...
Read moreThis hotel is so unique and filled with charm! The decor is so delightful and most welcoming. The rooms are filled with special architectural details that you just want to absorb it all. If you're lucky enough to get a castle view, it's really special. The beds are very comfortable with super lux sheets! The restaurant is a delight to sit and enjoy any meal. The breakfast and lunch were delicious! The staff were excellent and always welcomed any questions and assisted with many smiles! I would have given a 5 all the way , yet it is rather noisy with traffic and frequent police and ambulance sirens . Our final night I had to be up for an early flight and they had a large private party in the restaurant. There was very loud dance music till far past midnight. I think our room was right above the restaurant. The location is in a high traffic area, but definitely great for accessing the...
