Make sure to take cash with you. They accept only domestic credit cards. I've never heard of that before, but that is what they told me when my visa card didn't work (its worked everywhere else in Lisbon so far). They promptly pointed to an ATM that was inside the restaurant. Hmmmm....seems convenient and a bit off. I heard other patrons having the issue before we paid the bill. I'm of asian decent that spoke english to the wait staff, this might have been something they mention before ordering.
We ordered the Kharage, Tonkotsu ramen and Kimchi ramen. Kharage was above average - pretty big serving with light breading and not too oily. Both ramen dishes were good as well. The chasu that was served with the tonkotsu ramen was decent, a little dry but they served alot of it - 3 large slices. The kimchi seemed to have been pan fried before being put into the soup broth, so it had a bit of a smoky flavor. Didn't expected it, but was good.
They prominently display a Sagre tap with many glasses on the bar. Except the tap wasn't working. They said something about it not being hooked up to electricity??
This looks to be relatively new so, the staff may have little to no experience. We asked for water, they brought bottled water that we turned away. Then at check out, the bottled water was still on our bill. Then they charge for take away boxes and they charged for 2 when...
Read moreMenu had extensive list of different kinds of ramens (speciality, vegetarian, etc), appetizers/starters, and rice bowls. They had different kinds of Japanese beer as well as soda, lemonade, water, and tea. I highly recommend the jasmine tea! They have spicy oil for your ramen which was a nice touch. There is not a lot of seating, so if making dinner plans, I recommend a reservation. Seating is very close together with other tables too. They also speak more English than Portuguese, so very tourist friendly in that regard. Menu is also in English and Portuguese. We really enjoyed the ramen and felt it was very authentic tasting, along with the drinks. However, be aware they bring the check when you’re done eating. We wanted to order the mochi for dessert but our check was already brought out to us.
Important note: they only accept European bank cards! Plan ahead, thankfully one of us is from Portugal and was...
Read moreAmazing! I had a strong hunger for Asian food and was super close to this restaurant and spontaneously decided to go there for lunch. I was so happy! Spent here almost 2 hours, eating and chilling. First of all - small space and cute interior, which gives you a feeling of comfort and also it is super warm inside, what was needed on rainy January day. Second - waiter was very sweet and friendly, speaking both Portuguese and English to me, so communication was easy and clear. And last but not least - food was delicious and portions are quite big. I would say it isn’t the cheapest ramen place in Lisbon, but quality of food is phenomenal. I really enjoyed my experience. I took three starters and fried noodles, didn’t finish it and packed for take away. And for dessert had strawberry mochi and plum liquor. Highly recommend! Already planned to take my partner here for lunch to show a good...
