Hotel Lux Mundi — Hotel in Ourém

Being on Pilgrimage with Alba Tours ( NO recommendation from me ever !! ) we stayed here for 6 days. Hotel is close to shrine but so are most hotels. Breakfast was ok but just 1 coffee machine for all guests means queuing for a cuppa. Dinner was appaling !!! Even downright disgusting at times it was repetitive as if the left overs where used the next day. Boiled cabbage is on or in every dish ! It is VERY LOW BUDGET FOOD !! There is no warm drinks available after dinner. You have to go to their bar which has limited opening hours. Glad there is a McDo walking distance from the hotel. Eating out in one of the many other places is a far better option! Rooms are ok but simple and wifi is little to nothing.|For UK - there is NO kettle in the room and drinks only available from the bar!|Staff is ok, some grumpy and when serving dinner they really just "feed" you.|This is budget hotel so expect budget food and service. Despite having a prior booking few of my group members have to wait for a key until 5 pm after our arrival at 2.30pm. We had tough time . Some of us needs put baggage in other team members rooms and also needs to wait till those keys are given. ||Staff also dint allow us to have an early breakfast at 6.30am. Passo spesso, per lavoro, in questa struttura e nel complesso non posso lamentarmi. La struttura segna il passaggio di generazione fra i vecchi hotel di Fatima, stile semplice alloggio per pellegrini, e l'era alberghiera moderna. L'esempio sta nell'altro hotel della stessa catena, il Lux Fatima Park, che è praticamente la versione sfarzosa di quest'edificio.||||Senza dubbio per chi non ha alte pretese e si accontenta di un buon alloggio, va benissimo. Forse la moquette delle stanze andrebbe cambiata perché alcune odorano di fumo, si sa che alla fine in un modo o nell'altro riesci a fumare in stanza, però in alcune l'odore si sente di più. Clima da salone anni '70 si nota anche nella sala pranzo, anche quella forse potrebbe essere riprogrammata, risalta l'alone nostalgico di quella che un tempo fu una grande sala ma che oggi meriterebbe di essere rinnovata. Sulla posizione invece non c'è assolutamente nulla da far notare, a pochissimi metri dal complesso del Santuario.||||In conclusione direi che per Fatima va più che bene come alloggio, ma personalmente credo che la direzione abbia fatto capire la propria scelta, tutte le migliorie sono destinate all'albergo nuovo, questa struttura, come definito nel titolo della descrizione, è una perfetta...
