B. Arts Porto — Hotel in Porto

We loved the location of this apartment and the fact that we could stay with ir dog with no extra fees.

It's easy to park your car for free in case you know where: try R. Duque da Terceira or Miradouro das Fontinhas. Otherwise, from Monday to Friday at working hours (9:00 to 19:00) you can't park in front of the apartment or surroundings for free: you need to pay a fee and you must move your car after 2 or 4 hours depending on the street. That's the reason for suggesting a street nearby to park. The parking located in Poveiros looks quite expensive to me (50€ 72 hours and 35€ 48 hours).

The neighborhood felt very safe and there is a nice park nearby.

The apartment is well equipped, I might have missed a Dolce Gusto o similar coffee machine and a newer TV offering Smart TV. You may think this is superficial, but during a rainy day where you might spend more time at home it can be handy. We like cooking our dinner and breakfast and the kitchen is well equipped and I love the fact that...

“Meh”. The room is very aesthetically pleasing, but functionally, there is a lot lacking. The dishwasher was broken but the staff says “it works fine” (the wand won’t turn) and so some of our “clean” dishes were dirty in the cupboard. No air conditioning. We asked for a fan as it’s very hot at night, and were unable to sleep, and we were told the next day we could get one (for our last night). After much conversation they agreed to bring one same day. Amenities were only 1/6 full (coffee and shower gel were insufficiently stocked for a our stay, and without daily housekeeping, this was a problem). Customer service was sufficiently responsive in general (with notable exceptions).

Very nice accommodations with good separation between sleeping and living quarters. Updated, albeit compact, bathroom. Neighborhood location with great bakery and groceries nearby and restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. Nice garden for relaxing. Some caveats: our unit had no air conditioning although it was not needed; no elevator; no one to ask for restaurant recommendations, for transportation aid, or sightseeing suggestions.
