One night here felt like one night too many. There’s no real staff — unless you count AI sending you polite, pre-programmed replies while you stare at mold and mildew on your bathroom ceiling. Being allergic, I had the joy of sleeping with the balcony door open all night, serenaded by trains screeching into the nearby station and an occasional loud, mysterious beeping.
The room price? Not cheaper than far nicer places I stayed in Porto — all within the same easy 15-minute walk to the center. So no, being “right in the middle” is not worth this.

Plus: location really close to Sao Bento, room had everything and even bottles of water, communication really clearly (self check-in) and possibility to leave bag in locker next day.
Min: location feels a bit dark and shady. Not really a comfortable place to walk in the dark as a single woman. However, when ur in the building that feeling is gone. Furthermore, I had some troubles with airco/heat. The room was really warm and airco didnt work. Solved it by opening door to terrace. So not a big deal actually. And one last tip: please let cleaners have a look at the mold in the shower. There was a lot of it. Room and bathroom were clean, but mold made it look...
