I had dined here a few times before with my friends and had absolutely loved the food, especially the bacalhau à bras, and had raved about it many times to my family. I brought them here today to try the dish, but the bacalhau was extremely salty. When we brought this up to the servers, they told us that the dish was inherently salty due to the cured nature of the bacalhau. However, I have had this dish several times before both at this restaurant and in other places, and this bacalhau was extraordinarily salty. When I noted this to the servers, they finally agreed to switch out the bacalhau for another dish, though they were quite reluctant to do so, and in the end, they still charged us for one of the bacalhau we had ordered (we had ordered two). Another of the servers was also quite unfriendly from the very beginning, and it felt almost racially targeted as she was significantly friendlier to white customers while treating us and the other East Asian customers around us quite coldly. Overall, very disappointing as I had previously loved this restaurant but our experience this time left much...

Everything was fine. I had little sardines (Petingas) and codfish cakes (Bolinhos bacalhau) for tapas with a glass of house white. It was good enough. Not bad by any means, and certainly not exceptional. Just fine.
Priced a bit high for the quality and service experience but not for portion size. Order less Tapas rather than more as portions are tourist sized (by Canadian standards, ymmv). For example, sardines come as a basket of approx 8-10. Cod cakes was 6 portions, each portion roughly the size of a large egg. My dining neighbours ordered main dishes, and they were about the size you’d see at The Keg or Milestones or a similar Canadian chain.
Ordered a glass of “old red” port for dessert and had to ask (twice) for clarification on which port exactly was on offer. They did not offer a taster before confirming the order. Just went straight for a 3oz (88 ml) pour. Again, not the worst thing ever, but not what one would expect at this...
Read moreReally wanted to love this place but....warning to anyone who likes to drink and dine...always properly check your bill at the end or you may get a surprise when the wine-buzz ends. Quite a wait for a table (we asked for a reservation but we were told it wasn't necessary as they could always fit a couple in) Waitress friendly and food and wine order taken quickly...only to be told almost as quickly that the rice dish for 2 that we ordered was finished for the night...no problem...new order given and were very quickly delivered to the table along with a great bottle of Douro Branco (third of the day..please don't judge!). Thoroughly enjoyed both but when we went to order dessert were told "sorry..kitchen is closed"...would have been nice to have been given some warning. Paid the bill, tipped the staff and left Checked receipt the following day when back in the UK and there's the €35 rice for 2 that we never got..honest mistake maybe but still very disappointing Summary..food & wine great Atmosphere..pretty buzzy Just...
