MARIANUS Hamburgueres Artesanais — Restaurant in Porto

I called and made a reservation.. when we arrived we were immediately seated but then ignored for 15 minutes. Menus were digital. No drinks, no eye contact. Nothing.

When we were finally approached , I asked if the beef burgers had any flour or gluten products inside the beef mixture.

I was promptly told that they don’t know what is inside the beef patty, they source them elsewhere, even the more expensive Angus beef burger were a mystery. They couldn’t accommodate any gluten free meals and I couldn’t have a bunless burger because they don’t know the ingredients in their €12-15 burgers.

So after waiting 15 min with no service. And then being told I couldn’t eat there, sadly my family had to leave as there was nothing for me to eat.

Their food looked really nice and the waitress was kind enough. But shouldn’t a place that only serves burgers know what’s in their meat? I was really sad I couldn’t have a burger and fries. As it’s required by law in Portugal to offer Vegan meals.. i asked if the vegan food was safe to eat. She said no.

Their website and menu should also clearly state that they cannot accommodate dietary needs like Coeliac. But if you’re strictly vegan or vegetarian, she said she couldn’t guarantee no food...

We walked past this restaurant one evening in Porto and decided to give it a try as me and my girlfriend are massive burger fans, I am so happy we did as it was excellent! The resturant was nice and cosy and the staff were really really kind. The menu had some really unique burgers and sandwiches which is great. My girlfriend went safe with a double cheese and bacon burger, I chose the Japanese chicken sandwich. Our food was delicious and the flavours in my sandwich were great. The chips were great too, we both had bacon and cheese oj them and they tasted so good. Really loved the meal here and the price for our meal...

Awful customer service received at this place as a Tourist. Went for some food and a drink with a colleague, I found a table outside whilst my colleague went to use the WC facilities. Whilst waiting to be served I noticed some sort of confrontation with my colleague, a lady then marched out and asked if she could help me in a rude way. With this I asked for some drinks and a menu to which I was told I needed to make my way inside to pay for my drinks first🤔. My colleague then came out and confirmed he was challenged for using the WC facilities!!!. We opted to depart and find somewhere where we would be treated like...
