Our welcome was very warm and inviting and our receptionist was very helpful and friendly.|We had 2 rooms- one deluxe with 2 small double beds and one smaller room with a double bed.|The interior of the rooms is very friendly and bright- shabby chic style with colourful furniture- and they are spotless and clean.|As a family with teenagers we didn't mind not being in the noisy city centre and that 10 minutes on way in and 15 on way home suited us well- after eating all that gorgeous food in Porto!!|With little kids or for elderly people it would be tiring to walk home but then again Porto is a hilly place!!|As a whole we were very happy with our 4 night stay and as the reception is manned 24/7 there is always someone available for advice...we would certainly come back to Oporto cosy.|A few things that could do with improvement are the showerheads in the bathrooms. In both rooms they were old and bad- one fell on my son's head, the other one sprayed to the side and wet the whole bathroom floor. Doesn't seem an expensive thing to change.|The other thing is the WiFi upstairs didn't work. My teenagers weren't too happy. One of those WiFi repetition plugs would solve that in a very easy inexpensive manner.|Overall a lovely experience though,...

We expected a bit better conditions. (Reviews on Airbnb and GuestReady are not accurate.)
The place is close to one of the Metro lines. Unfortunately it is on top of a hill where we have to walk to after the end of each day. The check in was fine as well as the cleanliness of the room. But everything smells or is damp from not enough ventilation.
It looks like some improvements were attempted by adding a fan.
However , the windows cannot be open at night as every car ( plus loud bikes ) and person can be heard while passing by. (We had videos but can't upload them to Google Maps' reviews.)

Also there is no understanding of why there is tea, coffee and suger packets when arriving, while there is no kitchen, kettle or fridge to use with these welcoming gifts.
We tried to enjoy the apartment , by attempting to improve the situation through humor to a bad situation, but every morning we woke up in a damp room with clothes smelling like mold.
I really hope there is a solution to this problem as it could have been a nice experience in Porto by coming back to a relaxing room filled with...
Read moreDisappointing. This is a good choice only if you want a cheap accommodation and don’t care about the conditions of the stay. The location is not great and you have to walk a lot to get to the centre of the city. The room is right on the street so you can hear all sorts of noises. The room was decent but incredibly humid. There was a strong smell of humidity (we stayed in room 1, which is basically in the basement). Because of the humidity, the towels we used to shower did not dry at all. We asked for clean towels (since there was a sign on the wall that said to leave them on the floor if new ones were needed) but they said they did not provide such a service. We also asked for more toilet paper but even that was denied to us. In the bathroom, the sink was wobbly and there was a whole in the shower tiles. Also, we were supposed to have breakfast included but that was not provided. Not at all happy with the stay and definitely not choosing it again. DO...
