Room 606, price 83 eur/night/1 person- described as “luxury room”, located in fact on the left side of the historical building. If it would be a house, i would describe the area as the “servants entrance”, aside from the main entrance. Extremely steep stairs and narrow hallway, up to 1st floor. The edge of the stairs needs reparations, because of high risk of falling, it almost happen to me trying to descend with the luggage. The rooms is extremely small ( cannot imagine two people in this room, fir several days, in the summer time), across the room there is another door, which was started to be slammed (don’t know if guests or personnel), beginning with 6.30 in the morning. The picture on the site and on booking.com, concerning the “luxury room”, have NOTHING to do with this room barely larger than a big closet. Looks like an improvisation of room, at 417 ron/night. Never going back there, while in Bucharest, or recommend the stay in that hotel! I think there are 2 more rooms in this situation, besides 606, advertised as “luxury”. You, people, should be a little emabarassed, because of the false adevertising. This is not a “luxury...

Ultimately hot water was restored but not a problem you want to deal with at 6 AM after arriving from over seas. The following evening, after a hot day, the AC was not working. The hotel staff was very unhelpful and had us knock on neighboring rooms so they could check if the AC unit was connected. After requesting hotel staff check to see if the rooms were vacant (which was the case) we learned the units were not connected and that there was no solution. We were told to open the windows which overlooked the main road. It was quite loud and due to the lack of cross ventilation the room was hot and stuffy. There was no offer extended to change rooms as a solution. The following morning this was relayed to the manager who offered us pens for the inconvenience. Given the hotel did not meet basic expectations it was surprising the response. I typically do not leave reviews but given this experience I thought it...
Read moreNo coffee in the rooms, and it's not otherwise included. Wi-Fi literally never worked on my room--poor strength. There was what looked like a squished bug on the AirCon controller, which tells me these things aren't wiped down. The bed wasn't really comfortable and the mattress pad made me feel sticky. The hot water in the shower took forever and was unreliable. This place markets itself as having a spa--it doesn't! It has a little sauna, that's it. They evidently call an external masseur to come do massages, but she was off the entire 5 days I was there. I intentionally looked for a hotel with a spa, so i feel it's very misleading. I wouldn't have stayed here or paid their prices if I'd known they weren't a spa. As for the staff, they weren't rude, but they weren't all that friendly and certainly didn't go above and beyond. Overall, it was just ok at best and fell far below my expectations. I...
