On the day of leaving Bucharest, me and my friend decided to go to a fancier restaurant than the ones we usually eat at. Being in a hurry, we decided to go with something that was closer to us, as we were in Piața Victoriei. Animaletto was our choice, and I can say this experience was unforgettable - it definitely upped my expectations.
Let's start off with the food - my friend ordered a Vegetarian pizza withour zucchinis and I got myself some Tagliatelle with seafood. It didn't take long for the food to arrive and I was surprised, since i usually get to finish a drink beforehand. Now, though, I only got a quarter through my Ginger lemonade - which, by the way, was magnificent. Both me and my friend think that there could've been very slight changed with the food, even though it was overall good. He thinks, they could've made the pizza base a bit thicker and for my pasta, i think they could've added a bit more sauce and prawns. Besides this, everything was perfect.
Secondly, I think the service was what made this restaurant truly unique. Although this was a bit more expensive than where we usually eat, we didn't expect much. However, right when we got in, we got asked if we need help with anything. We just said we came here for a table and, usually, nothing would happen. This time, the server walked us to an empty table and asked any questions I had regarding the restaurant. He left us enough time to think about what we wanted, but not long enough to keep us waiting forever. And as expected, when the food came, my friend's wishes were respected and the pizza came with no zucchinis on it.
Finally, the atmosphere. I would say it was pretty good, but I'd definitely improve some things. It feels different from other restaurants you'd go to - in the sense that it has it's own theme - but I'd add a few more decorations to it. Besides this, everything else was great - all the seats were comfortable.
All in all, I really recommend this restaurant. And if you're a fan of ginger, definitely try...
Read moreI don't know where to start. It's a shame that Google doesn't have the option of zero stars. I ordered from this place for the first time today because I came across an article saying that they're in the top five best pizza places in Europe. Well, after tasting this "miracle" pizza l have to say that whoever wrote that article needs new taste buds. The pizza in question is a quatro formagi 34 cm because you are not allowed to have a bigger portion so they just don't sell it. I received my pizza party burnt, stale and stone cold. I really believe it was from yesterday or the day before. This aside, it was extremely oily and thin l mean l know some pizzas have thin crust but this is a joke. The amount of cheese is negligible. You're required to get a magnifying glass to actually see the cheese.if I were to ignore all that there's one thing I can not ignore: the fact that the pizza was so oily that it made me nauseous. Mediocre food is one thing but feeling unwell after eating it is another.l didn't have any issues aside from nausea so I don't think it was made using bad ingredients or anything, it's just that whoever makes the pizza should go back to cookery school. I think it's worth mentioning that their delivery fee is anywhere between 12-16 Ron. One last thing worth mentioning is that l tried placing an order since Monday and I kept getting a message saying that the restaurant doesn't accept orders temporarily due to high demand. They also don't offer any pizza with beef , chicken or tuna, nor they offer beverages and dessers so make sure you order these from somewhere else in advance.l paid 46 Ron for a mediocre pizza that ended up gifting me a dose of nausea. Not recommended.if you can avoid the place it is wise to do so. Your taste buds and body...
Read moreA friend recommended this place to me and I figured why not go there for my birthday? So I made a reservation for two. We get there and got to sit at a high table for 6+. Why? Well, because they forgot to reserve a table for us, apparently. They apologized, and we figured it's not so bad. There's ton of natural light coming in (at least if you don't go to the basement level, where the bathrooms and stone stove are located by the way, along few other tables). On top of that, the location was PACKED, so we had neighbours at the table of 6+ we got to sit at. Oh well. Maybe the food is good then. Nope. My girlfriend ordered the regular Bufalla Margherita (with just pesto on it) and I got the one with pepperoni (of which there were not even 10 slices, thin as paper). Also, they didn't slice the pizzas all the way. It's like they stopped pressing on the cutter halfway through. Also, whatever tomato sauce they're using is sour, possibly due to the seeds they don't take out of it. I'll definitely never go there again. For the price, I would say you're better off eating at a mall - Pizza Bonita makes cheaper & tastier Margherita pizzas (and they don't use...
