On my quest to try all the ethnic joints in Bucharest, I stumbled upon this treasure. I have no knowledge about aromanian customs, much less about how they eat their food. The best description I could give is that it’s a fusion between romanian, turkish and greek food so you can imagine that the taste was otherworldly. Food was excellent. We ordered lamb skewers and pork schnitzel with PETURI (no idea what they are I suppose the mushrooms). They both had pickled tomatoes and cheese as garnishes. The pita that came with the skewers was different than anything I had tasted previously and combined together they made the perfect bite of food. Everything was bursting with flavour, perfectly cooked, well presented. For dessert we tried the kataif roll and it was exquisite. Pistachio and I want to say raspberry syrup complemented well the crunchiness of kataif. For drinks we tried homemade Fanta and Cola- fanta tasted like the real deal, cola had no correlation but was tasty as well. The price is expensive but in my view, totally worth it. 5/5 Service was excellent. The stuff was highly attentive, professional and friendly. They even offered us a complementary drink from the house. I noticed that on their nametags they had different adjectives. 5/5 Ambiance was good. Pleasant atmosphere, good decor, clean, comfortable. On the terrace are beautiful umbrellas that protect you from uv light. The only downside- the bathroom is far, you have to go down many flights of stairs. 4/5 Location is excellent. Prime location near the Romana metro station, very close to Calea Victoriei, with easy access and no...
Read moreWe had brunch at their restaurant. What I really liked here is the plates they use to serve the food. They look so nice starting from the coffee cup to pans and regular plates. We had 2 different dishes popular in their brunch menu. What I can say about both is that they were over average salty. I mentioned that to one of the waiters and they explained it is related to the cheese brand they use, but the bacon was the one with salt problems. If they had the explanation already I assume more people complained yet they did not inform customers on this matter. Believe me, we usually add salt to everything but this was too much before adding. The pan was tastier from my point of view. The sandwich is described as fresh, yet it didn’t felt like that. Eggs tends to have that specific breakfast at hotel’s taste - neutral taste. To be honest I would just assume it was a mistake from the kitchen but despite this and reporting to the prices I would not come again. Maybe other dishes are tasty as they look in customer’s photos but I would totally avoid this place for brunch. The waiter was nice. Serving was fast. They offered a pie sample for taste which is rare in Bucharest because we don t usually get anything...
Read moreWe recently dined at this restaurant, and while the experience wasn't terrible, it certainly left much to be desired. The restaurant's ambiance was cozy, but unfortunately, it was cramped. The limited space made it difficult to move around comfortably, detracting from the overall dining experience. Additionally, the time limit of two hours felt restrictive and rushed, leaving little room to truly savor the meal. While the food was decent, it failed to leave a lasting impression. The menu offered a selection of traditional Aromanian dishes, but the flavors lacked depth and authenticity. The spread board was ok, but not special, portions being on the smaller side, considering the prices charged. The Arrostincini were tasty, the folded flatbread also, but Tilsit matured cheese sprinkled on top of the so called “zucchini musaca” was horrendous. The most disappointing was the lamb chops dish..the meat was a total fail, chewy and too rare cooked, sitting on some orzo with ponzu sauce, again sprinkled with the same terrible Tilsit cheese that had nothing to do with the dish. We wanted so much to like this place but our experience was...
