Location is amazing. Interior style really made me feel in a relative’s house. Staff members Alina and Vaselina (probably I am misspelling, sorry) are kind, professional, helpful. Both speak English and one is also learning Portuguese. The boy staff member was good too. Shower with hot water and bathrooms are good too. Bed and pillow are comfortable and clean. Quite place to sleep (at upstairs). I would stay there again in my next visit to Saint Petersburg. 5th floor, no elevator. Total 120 steps. Be prepared for it. And a couple more steps if your room is in the upstairs (like mine). Kitchen is not fully equipped. Not stove not oven. Just a microwave. No toaster either. They charged 250 rublos for the registration form and I never received my form. I had such a bad 1st impression with the staff member in the morning shift when I arrived that I thought about going to another place. This lady should not work with customer facing activities. I did not asked her name (white round face, dark hair, Asian facial features). Thanks God I met Alina and Vaselina later in the followings days. Internet was not working properly upon arrival. They fixed it later in the...

Read moreThis could be the cutest hostel experience I've had. The place in general can be described as cozy. The kitchen is an open space that looks like your grandma's kitchen. There are 3 showers and 2 toilets to share. Three sinks and one hair dryer. The showers are individual so you get privacy to dress. There is an observation room at the top floor. Also, they have a 'no-shoe indoors policy', leave your shoes by the door or keep them in a provided shoe box while your stay. They also provide shoe covers in case you wish to keep them on. The idea is to keep the outside filth outside. The room has a queen size bunk bed and a twin bed at top. It was just two of us, so the top bed was not made. Our room had view to the canal, a small table wntwo chairs, a tv, a small mirror, a cupboard and wall hooks. Take note that the street sounds can be somewhat loud if you have light sleep. So bring earplugs and a face mask for the summer. Also, breakfast can be ordered the night before for 150rub at the front desk. A washing machine can be used for 100rub (they provide soap) , just note yhat the air drying are is small (there's no dryer). Ah... Great location!!! Hope this...
