Hotel? More like a hostel I'd say. Not worth the 150e we paid.
Me and my friend belong to the unlucky group of the room 105 survivors. Had we seen the reviews from summer 2025, we would not have stayed here. Unfortunately we made our booking during spring.
The room is run down and dirty, the walls are scuffed, there are stains on the bed sheets, there's a piece missing from the bathroom door and to top it all, the ac unit looks disgusting and is loud. We had to turn it off to sleep.
The checking in was pleasant (different person) but as soon as we raised the issue of the state of the room (we also requested separate twin beds, which we did not have as the beds were pushed together and so there was only one sheet), the customer service changed all together. The new lady we talked to completely dismissed our disappointment in the expensive yet dirty room. No apologies at all, no acknowledgement of any kind, the only thing they did was separate the beds and give one more set of sheets. The beds are incredibly uncomfortable. We were asked about the room again in the morning and we told the staff as much. The response was more or less a shoulder shrug. you can hear everything from the street and hallways as there is no soundproofing. We even heard the crickets(but also the yelling and dogs barking etc). When we mentioned this, the answer was a dismissive "a quiet room in old town? Please". For the record we have stayed at multiple hotels(and hostels) in multiple countries and have never had this issue (old town or not). the shower is just as bad so you can't wash away the dirt from the room. It's quite small and the water easily takes over the whole bathroom floor. the breakfast is quite basic, the selection/food options could be better but the fresh fruit was a very nice touch.
Never will I ever step foot in any hotel or restaurant owned by this company. Furthermore, I would wish this for my worst enemy as I don't want them...
Read moreOh boy… this is a story… First of all: the organizational skills of the personnel is out of this world. Very very very well, great service, attitude and attention to detail. As we are regular travelers, we got a free upgrade to a premium room in the beautiful historical building. The piccolo put our car in the garage and brought the luggage to our room. Great room with recently renovated BIG! Bathroom. Only problem was the noise that we noticed when we finally came back from dinner. The noise came from the kitchen that was upstairs. The very charming personnel immediately took action and moved us to the Grand Hotel San Marino, which is 200 meters away. They also moved our luggage and everything went seamlessly. I take my hat off to this sublime kind of service. The new room in the Grand Hotel had a magnificent view and a balcony. Very quiet and luxurious experience. We will definitely come back here! Thank you so much ladies! This was a pro-clinic in hospitality! 🫶🏼 Please do reserve a parking spot, it’s 20 euro extra...
Read moreDo not rent room 105!!! It is TERRIBLE - stay in another hotel that will not make you suffer. The room is small and total crap!! The AC is too big for the room and sounds like a tractor; the bed is... terrible; the floor is better. The shower..? I don't have words for how bad it is. Terrible lack of any normal comfort and it cost me €300 for two nights. Stay outside of San Marino and not here, and for sure not this joke of a room. You need just a few hours in the old city without the inconvenience of being a 10-minute walk from parking. We travel a lot and this was the worst place we've ever stayed in. It was unforgettable for all the wrong reasons. Staff were great, but we were told later they go months without...
