JOUDYAN Olaya Riyadh By ELAF — Hotel in Municipality of Olaya

I had a very disrespectful and bad experience in this hotel and would never ever recommend anyone staying there.

I reserved the hotel on my name and paid my credit card for it. I came to check in with my husband, which immediately started enjoying Arabic coffee and moved a meter or so from me while I was checking in. I gave my passport to the receptionist, gave her a clear understanding that I am the guest, I am THE PAYER, the room is mine. In a minute, the receptionist, without telling me anything, just literally walked away tossing an absolute ignore on me, went to my husband and gave him the documents to sign, room keys and explained the information being a few meters from me, that i did not even hear it.

THIS IS EXTREMELY PRIMITIVE AND DISRESPECTFUL. If not the dinner reservation that was approaching, I would've picked up my bags and canceled the payment, claiming that I HAVE NEVER CHECKED IN THE HOTEL, as i NEVER signed the papers nor got he keys. This unprofessional receptionist has not even checked a document of a man with me, therefore she has no idea whom she handled a room key to, or who signed the papers. I should've left the room for her to pay.

Just because your husband doesn't allow you to talk to strangers, doesn't mean you have to jump on mine. IF the room is booked on MY NAME and I AM PAYING for it, it means I AM CHECKING IN. How can it not be anymore clearer?..

Secondly, I left my diamond earrings on the bedside table, not in the safe and remembered it only after the check out. OFCOURSE THE HOTEL did not find it:))))

Then, the extra issue is that our room was on the first floor, we could hear lots of noise from the street and it was impossible to sleep.

Fresh Room Amenities: The fresh rooms provided an excellent selection of towels, toiletries, and amenities, such as bath robes, body lotion, conditioner, shampoo, and more. Housekeeping Staff: The housekeeping team was polite, professional, and honest in their work. Areas for Improvement: Front Office Staff: While polite, the front office staff could benefit from additional training to enhance their knowledge of hotel amenities and services. Food & Beverage Service Staff: The staff were competent, but lacked coordination with each other and the kitchen department. They often forgot to ask about accompaniments and seemed unfamiliar with menu items. Menu Availability: Some menu items were not available, which was disappointing. Highlights: Food Quality: The kitchen staff prepared excellent and delicious food, despite some limitations. I recently had the pleasure of staying at Joudyan Al Olaya Hotel, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! Every aspect of my stay exceeded expectations, thanks to the outstanding service and attention to detail from the entire hotel team.

The reception staff were incredibly welcoming and professional. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and efficient check-in service. They were always happy to assist with any inquiries, making me feel truly valued as a guest.

The housekeeping team did an impeccable job throughout my stay. My room was spotless, beautifully arranged, and consistently maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness. Their dedication to guest comfort was truly impressive.

I also want to highlight the hotel restaurant, which offered a wide variety of delicious dishes prepared to perfection. The food quality was top-notch, and the service staff were attentive, friendly, and always eager to accommodate any request.

Overall, Joudyan Al Olaya sets a new benchmark for luxury, cleanliness, and hospitality. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Riyadh and looking for a truly memorable stay. A big thank you to everyone at the hotel for making my visit so enjoyable!
