We are a couple of seniors who when speaking with friends yesterday about this accommodation, could only describe it as the hotel with the rudest hotel manager we have ever come across. The property was easy to find and the room was spotlessly clean. The manager however had some serious attitude, particularly at check-in. The door was locked when we arrived around 4:30pm. We rang the bell and were buzzed in. During check-in the manager asked for our passports. They were in our luggage which was still in the car so I went to go out of the door to get them. Again the door was locked and not seeing the miniature door handle I asked if she could let me out, ie buzz the door. She got out of her chair muttering under her breath continually as she walked over to the door. From the tone and from her facial expression she was not muttering anything pleasant. After check-in we asked for dinner recommendations. She gave us directions to 2 restaurants near the lake and curtly said it was a short walk to both. I asked if that walk was up or down hill. As a person with hip disability that makes a difference on deciding whether I drive or walk. She smirkingly replied that of course it was down hill, the lake is always lower. As a traveller from Canada, ie the land of the Great Lakes, I really didn’t need the geography lesson from her. All-in-all a somewhat unpleasant experience and a bad memory of my...
Read moreWe stayed at Pr Anzl in July of 2024. We absolutely enjoyed our time here. The location is a short walk from the lake and about 10-15 minute walk from the center of town. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean! We had a lovely view to a pasture and a farm and we also had a porch with chairs to enjoy the view. There was a mini fridge in the room. Plenty of closet space! Clean private bathroom! Staff was absolutely delightful! Besides the cleanliness breakfast is very important to us. Breakfast here was awesome! They asked us every morning if we wanted eggs and how we would like to get it done. The serving/bar area was filled with all kinds of breakfast items, whatever your belly desired: cereal to cheeses, salami, and various types of rolls, croissants. Fruits and veggies, muffins, cakes, spreads for toast, pancakes, hotdogs, yogurt, tea, coffee, juice… Parking is a bit tight…but! you have free parking. We would absolutely recommend Pr Anzl and would go back here in a heartbeat! (Photos of room were taken as we were leaving. Upon arrival, beds looked...
Read moreThis was probably our favorite stay during our 2 month trip through the Balkans. Super host Barbara welcomes you into her lovely building, with great ambiance and intriguing craftsmanship. Great breakfast includes made to order eggs along with pastries, cold cuts, cereals and juices. Free parking, it’s a 3 block walk to the lake. We started in Room #10, which has a huge wrap around terrace and a bunk bed, then moved to #5, which has 2 bedrooms - a queen and 2 twins - but much smaller terrace. Perfect location, great host, wonderful breakfast, enchanting area, we stayed 3 nights and thoroughly...
