Ikhayalam Lodge & Tours — Hotel in Eastern Cape

With my first experience During the early morning hours a group of guys tried breaking in by kicking our door down, luckily i managed to scare them off, i told the receptionist who didnt seem very suprised at this so it mustve happend before.The staff very very friendly!! BUT!! the owner on the other hand , what a rude & obnoxious individual!! During my stay i paid for me and my guests, being from cape town we booked a room because we had an event and we basically used it to get ready for our show, came back afterwords and got ready for our after party and then eventually came back later the evening just to have this man ask me and my guest, how many people were paid for and who all these people are that are in and out our room??And that its late and that we are up and down his trying to sleep. As a guest i dont feel the need to be answering this to anybody, owner or not, WE PAID for our room, and im sure we can go as we please. He still get into my face telling me his the owner and his far older than what i am(which is not relevant) im a paying customer. I have to agree with the other 1 star reviews; there was a very strange guest at my hostel, which prevented me from sleeping. Later in the evening, he started walking around naked in the room, seemed suspicious, and started coughing like he had pneumonia. ||||Someone came in at 6AM and started shouting to wake him up. I stayed here, because it was close to the airport. I only stayed one night. Even if I had to fly out again, I wouldn't stay here. ||||And there's a strange sign that makes you put down a 300R deposit, because guest steal and don't clean up. I think that happens in every hostel, but I think the solution is to either (1) not let sketchy guests stay, or (2) the hostel has to be designed to house these guest separately from those genuinely interested in traveling.||||Don't stay...

I've stayed in a lot of hostel but this one was the worst I can think of. There was just nothing good about it. The dorm room was just a room with as many bunk beds as possible in there. They were so small and uncomfortable that you couldn't even sit and have to lay down all the down. Even though this place is called Lodge & Tours, they seemed kinda confused when I asked them about a tour to Addo Elephant park.
