Cockroaches! The first place in South Africa I've come across that has cockroaches. It was gross and disappointing. Seen during night and day.

We let the owner know and the first thing he asked, "was it small ones?" Which leads me to believe he's aware of the problem, plus we was still renting out the room after we checked out. He said he sprays monthly and "sorry", took a multi insect pray that was already in the room and sprayed? Said he didn't have a different room when we requested to be moved but his website was still accepting bookings.

Then it was just dirty, as seen in pictures. Kitchen sink, shower, stained cups (6/8), decorative baskets with dust that was molding, A LOT wrong with this place plus a weird smell when you enter.

Only thing good was clean bed linens.

I honestly don't know how the place has a 4.4 rating. Worst experience so far in South Africa! Haibo. Roaches 🤢

Almost forgot, No Air-conditioning, just a wall heater that doesn't do much to...

I don't really know what is going on now everything changed ever since Mr William Duckitt passed way, he used to give us the best service ever and we didn't have any complaints and each time we came we would receive our meal voucher upon arrival..but with the new executive or rather owners we don't get proper service for instance on the 4th and 25th of August I had to wait at the gate for 45 minutes before they could let me in and I was told they haven't received my booking while the booking was made by the travel agency, and I asked for my meal voucher but I wasn't given any meal on time. Please change this...

Nice guesthouse which includes all the amenities. Standard room includes small kitchenette which is great whilst still offering breakfast and supper as options. Rooms are clean and spacious. WiFi was generally good although shaky sometimes. The standard room does not have aircon with only a panel heater. This was not great during a very cold winter stay. The supper that was offered was ok, nothing really special. Staff was friendly...
