Limoni Luxury Suites — Hotel in George

We had our third stay at this wonderful place. Please note that the owner has changed and that the name has changed from Aberni to ‘Limoni’ although the advertising sign down the road still says ‘Aberni on sea’. The owner change took nothing away from the quality, charm and service of the place - in fact it further enhanced it (not that there was anything wrong with the previous owners). Steve is an absolute Star and made us feel welcome from the first moment. We are not talking about a hotel per se but several self-contained apartments and an amazing penthouse that could double up as permanent residence. All apartments have wonderful views and character with all mod-cons such as air conditioning (not that you really need this in Plett’s perfect climate), fridge/freezer, DSTV, WiFi, coffee machine including the posh coffee thingies like nespresso, toaster, safe, etc. You name it, it’s there. You even get your bag with beach towel and beach chair for the superb beach that is only five minutes away on foot. The seafront dining places, such as the yummy ‘Fat Fish’ are only a three minute drive away or could even be walked to in 20 minutes. The building is on a quiet road with wonderfully landscaped gardens. The area is very safe. Limoni is an oasis of tranquility in the already beautiful area of Plettenberg with its unique Charme. Our last night tonight staying 3 night in Limoni Luxury Suites. The accommodation is superb, spotlessly clean, good sized suites, decorated so tastefully and to a high standard and with everything you could possibly need. We didn’t self cater but it was all there if we had wanted to. Pam, the owner was incredibly helpful, including spending time with us on arrival to give advise on where to go, taxi companies, restaurants etc, including giving us her details on WhatsApp so we could contact her with questions. The two lovely ladies who work for her cleaned our rooms beautifully each day .... the extra touches of Nespresso pods, home cooked biscuits, beach towels/bag, milk and fresh lemons were little touches but all hugely appreciated by us. They will also do your laundry for a very reasonable additional price and ours was returned within a few hours, cleaned and beautifully ironed.||||We loved Plett (go to Robberg Nature Reserve and Monkeyworld) and it was made even more special by staying in outstanding accommodation where the owner really understands what good customer service means....

We had a pleasant stay. Unit was always cleaned well each day, with fresh towels. Nice to be in walking distance to the beach. It was very hot over our stay (January) and we did struggle with being quite hot in the unit - there was 1 ceiling fan in the bedroom but very weak & not effective at all. It would have been nice to have braai facilities on our patio - South Africans need to braai on their beach holidays! Every night! :) we did use the owners gas braai once, but did not have access to it again. Bit sad for a 'self catering' unit. This is needed.
