Neighbourgood Romney — Hotel in Green Point

This is more of a place for digital nomads than a hotel. That is what guests are looking for and I would not recommend it for families. Has a kitchen and nice couch and outdoor area to hang out in and work. Consistent Internet despite power outages a REAL plus. Needs choices for television channels. Only had streaming services. Would be helpful to have an actual bulletin board to be able to exchange information with other guests. Recommend telling people to shop at Woolworths nearby. My room needed repair and was below the standards of the rooms in the hotel. The hotel staff were very attentive after I complained to Booking.com. The WhatsApp staff person was incredibly responsive and I greatly appreciated the manager’s intent to help. There is a little cat there that should go to the SPCA for help because the owners are not caring for it properly but I can’t get the management to make that happen. It’s an interesting place. While I appreciate the opportunity to stay at the Neighborgood, my experience left a bit to be desired. Firstly, the lock on our bedroom door was faulty, which led to me being inadvertently locked in the room without any immediate assistance available. It would have been helpful if someone had shown us around upon arrival. We weren't informed about all the amenities, such as the laundry facilities, which we would have utilized had we known. They seemed to just rush us through. Additionally, it came to our attention that another guest in a room upstairs was charged the same rate we were, even though their accommodations seemed to be of a higher standard. Great place to rest and relax after hustle and bustle of the city

The house is located in cul de sac street so no traffic will disturb your sleep. The room was spacious and bed very comfortable (is you are taller than 185 cm it may be a bit short for you). The kitchen is well equipped and the automatic laundry machine and dryer are a welcome bonus. During all day there’s always someone from the staff around so if you need anything they are always helpful.

This is not a party/vibrant energy/hip place to get drunk and party. It is a place for couples, digital nomads or single people who are busy during the day and want to have a nice calm relaxing moment.
