My family and I booked 4 Kalivas from the 22nd December 2023 until the 30th December 2023. Kaliva 734/725/196/308. The location is fantastic. 734 is a Kaliva on the top of 3 flights of stairs. When I asked to adjust my booking and that to pay the difference was not an issue, because going up and down stairs with a baby pram was burdensome, I was told “we’ll get back to you” and was never assisted. Service is shockingly bad. Unaccommodating to families with babies. My wife and i requested a cot for our kaliva as was covered by our booking, at 8:30pm on the day we arrived. Upon returning to the kaliva at midnight, we found that the cot had not been set up. After discovering the cot was broken, we had to wait for 1 hour 30 minutes until we were assisted. Our room was filled security guards who reception expected to know how to set up cots at 1 am in the morning. This left myself and my wife absolutely embarrassed. We were told either we wait 1 hour or have our 1 year old baby girl sleep in the pram for the duration of the evening.
In addition, the wifi connection to the television set on all the units were not operational. It’s such a disappointment to be doing hotel staff administration, as a guest on the day you check in. I understand that the hotel staff and management don’t really care for customer satisfaction from the manner in which they deal with customer issues of a similar nature. The reception seem unprepared and ill equipped to deal with customers during the December festive season.
I paid a hefty R42 000 for my one unit. The carpets reek of a damp smell. The headboard in the master bedroom is peeling and you wake up with your hair full of leather residue. The bathrooms are full of mold. The washing machine is filthy and leaks. The kitchen cupboards are cracked and broken. I called many times to report these issues, but they fell on deaf ears. I called the cleaning supervisors who came to note down all the issues, the couches were filthy, the duvets not changed when I checked in etc. I'm checking out on Friday and am still awaiting feedback on these complaints. I was told the owners need to to respond, but i booked with Mykonos directly. Terrible Terrible service...

Our family arrived at Club Mykonos on Monday to celebrate my parents’ 30th anniversary, but what should have been a special occasion turned into a nightmare thanks to the utter incompetence and disrespect from the resort’s staff.
We parked in front of our unit’s garage—exactly where the receptionist assured us we could park. On Tuesday, while enjoying activities like swimming and tennis, we were bombarded with repeated, unnecessary calls from reception, rudely demanding that we move our car. They expected us to drop everything and return to the unit to move the car that was apparently “incorrectly parked,” even though we were told it was fine.
It got worse. After rushing back to speak with the duty manager, we were told yet again that parking there was perfectly okay. But guess what? The next morning, our car was clamped! This ruined our entire morning—we missed breakfast and were stuck dealing with the resort’s disorganized mess instead of enjoying our holiday.
When we confronted the staff, it was chaos. No one had a clue what was going on, and they all passed the blame. The security manager admitted to clamping the car but had no explanation for why this happened after we were given the green light by the duty manager. The operations manager was a complete disaster, offering fake apologies and even blaming us for the situation, despite the fact that his staff was the root of the problem.
To top it all off, their constant phone calls woke up our babies—aged 3 and 1—causing even more stress. The sheer incompetence and lack of communication among the staff ruined what should have been a relaxing, enjoyable holiday.
If you’re thinking of going to Club Mykonos, don’t. They clearly don’t know how to manage a resort, respect their guests, or even communicate properly with each other. AVOID this place at all costs—it’s not worth the...
Read moreShocking Experience – Never Again!||||We have been loyal visitors for years, but after our recent experience, we will never return. What happened was absolutely unacceptable and deeply concerning.||||Underage children were taken into a locked security office without any guardian's consent. They were not allowed to call their parents or leave, essentially held against their will, simply for being near other kids when a table fell. No damage was caused by them, yet they were treated like criminals. This is a clear violation of basic rights and procedures—and incredibly traumatising for the children involved.||||When I went to the office to raise my concerns, I was met with aggression, not accountability. A security guard screamed in my face and tried to intimidate me, even threatening to lock me in the room overnight if I dared look inside to see where the kids had been kept. The manager refused to face us, and we only heard back the next afternoon. Apparently no footage of how the security treated us and all we wanted was the gaurd being kept accountable. Operations manager offered to phone us next week—far too little, far too late.||||This establishment has gone drastically downhill. If you have children and care about their safety and emotional well-being, I strongly urge you to take...
