Maison Fontainbleau — Hotel in Sea Point

We were disappointed with our stay as it felt like a room in a house. There are no special touches or luxurious finishes in the room or bathroom it’s very basic and not what you would expect for £86 per night. The bathroom in particular the shower is very dated and the tiles are not clean. There are no photos of the bathrooms which are the ones guests would use. Our room was not serviced daily so we made our own bed and lived with full bins and had to restock toilet paper from another room. The bed and pillows definitely need replacing. Breakfast in our view was too minimal. The pool is great and the views from the pool area are amazing and the location is very good. We wouldn’t stay there again as it’s too expensive...

The property is located in a quiet , safe upmarket and scenic part of Capetown with safe but on street parking. Checking in and welcome by Denise was great . The house is artistically decorated and more than lived up to my expectations. The room was well sized , impeccably clean wit ample storage and large on suite bathroom as well as a little courtyard. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay which felt more like visiting a considerate artistic friend in their stunning home in Capetown than just a b&b. Would certainly stay...
