If you have a yearning feeling of wanting to feel unwelcome and very unimportant, I highly recommend that you visit Coco Safar - Sea Point. Every single one of the waitresses are just classist humans. I was seated indoors and had requested to be seated outdoors should a table become available, and beautifully, within minutes I was escorted to the outdoor seating area, however, this is where the beauty ends! I had waited 30 minutes until I got a waiter to come and wait on me, every single waiter I tried to call and catch their attention could not be bothered to look my way, I guess someone would say why didn’t you just walk up to them, besides that being a ridiculous recommendation, I had my belongings with me that would have made that a bit awkward, I had planned to spend my day there working as it was a beautiful day out. Eventually after having waved my arms to death, I caught the attention of one waiter, who took my order, and the second waiter who brought food after another 30 minutes of waiting had the worst attitude and never dared looked me in the face, lol. At first I’m handed a dirty and cracked glass, how and why? I request that she replaces it and she asks me to repeat my request, hmm, so I’m guessing it is normal for this establishment to provide unsafe glasses to customers? Awesome. My food was so cold, so cold, it was very hard to cut through my croissant, my egg, everything was just so underwhelming, bleh. To top it off my order was not completed and after finishing my meal I was just over everything and wanted to leave. After having received my bill, I vet and see the item I was waiiiiiiting for was added and I’m just like nah man, this restaurant is careless and quite frankly, I hate to make this a race thing, but I was the only one of my skin tone, people who arrived well after me were getting check ups, some even got their food before me, and guess what else they received, a smile!!!!

Granted the manager apologised but I’m still very annoyed and definitely will never be coming back. Do better! Customer service is...

My wife, daughter and I recently visited your establishment for breakfast. Having heard about your reputation as one of the top bakeries in the world, we were excited to experience your offerings. Unfortunately, our visit left us feeling very disappointed, and I wanted to share our feedback in the hopes it might help you improve.

Beverage Service: We ordered a Chai Latte and a Dirty Chai. However, when the drinks were served, the waiter misidentified the Chai Latte as the Dirty Chai. While this was a minor mix-up, attention to detail is essential, especially given your esteemed reputation.

Turkish Bagel: I ordered the Turkish Bagel with salmon, but the bagel was incredibly tough and difficult to cut, making it unenjoyable to eat. After researching Turkish bagels later, I noticed that what I was served didn’t match the typical examples I found. While the salmon was of good quality, the bagel itself fell far short of expectations.

Egg Preparation: My wife ordered soft-poached eggs with her meal, but the eggs were overcooked and not soft at all. This detail significantly affected her enjoyment of the dish.

Given the premium pricing of your menu and your esteemed reputation, we had high expectations that unfortunately were not met. For context, I have never written a negative review before, but I felt compelled to share this experience because it stood out so strongly.

I believe in giving businesses the opportunity to improve, and I hope you will take this feedback into account. I wish you the best in maintaining and enhancing the standards that have earned you...

Have been here three times in total.. My first time was okay, and then the 2 following ones a total disaster. Very long waiting times (30 mins for a drink) and 1 hour for food the first time and one hour 45 mins the second one. The service is chaos because there’s multiple waiters/waitresses serving the same table, so they mix up orders, they don’t speak between each other and they are not sure if you’ve ordered and what. Last time we came for vegan croissants. The managers told us they didn’t have any and if coming back the day after they would have made sure to prepare some For us. We came the day after as agreed and no one knew about our vegan croissants. So they said they were going to bake 2 vegan ones. After 1 hour and 25 minutes waiting (!!) they serve us vegan croissant. We had a bite and realised they were not vegan. We told the manager and after checking with chef he confirmed they were not vegan. We came back despite the mistake, cause of course mistakes happen in the kitchen, but again we waited an hour to be served an empty crepe (basically none of the toppings that we ordered- just a plain crepe), drinks were mixed up and got lost somewhere (but then they charged us anyway for it!). Would definitely suggest to improve management, improve waiting times and avoid having different people assigned to the same table cause it creates confusion..and make sure there’s enough vegan options available...

📍 Coco Safar Sea Point Cape Town 🌊 This cafe and restaurant is the perfect brunch spot to visit in Sea Point, they have everything from delicious pastries to great coffee and even freshly baked bread 🥖 A visit here is going to cost more than your regular cafe but it’s well worth it as the food is great 🤩 I highly recommend getting a croissant 🥐 and a cappuccino- did you know that they’re supposed to be served with sparkling water? The croissants are filled with various types of fillings from caramel to pastel del nata. There are other options like salmon bagels and a few more filling meals ✨ There is parking along the street or in the underground Garage, this place is well situated on Cape Town and is very safe to visit and easy to find 💕 . . #capetownguide #whattodoincapetown #thingstodoincapetown #capetowntiktok#capetownsuthafrica #capetowntravel #capetowntourism #capetownrestaurants #kloofstreetcapetown #cocosafar #fypsounds #fypage #fypシ #westerncapetiktok #westerncape #pretoriatiktok #joburgtiktok #capetowncoffeespots @TRAVEL SOUTH AFRICA @CapeTownMagazine.com @Tripadvisor | Travel Planning @Cape Town Tourism

Tried the almond, pistachios & white chocolate, and hazelnut croissants. My favorite was the hazelnut. The filling is hazelnut butter and the chocolate on the outside complements it. The almond croissant itself was amazing but the almond extract in the filling wasn't pleasant at all for personally. I ordered a mocha and surprisingly it was the worst drink I've ever had. It tasted like water. But I complained and they took it back and returned my money I am going back for sure to try their breakfast menu and the creme brulee croissant, but never ordering any drinks from them. Update: They asked for my info to contact me. They didn't. I went back to try all the rest of their croissants. I also tried their breakfast. And gave their drinks a second chance. I was so excited for the french toast but it tasted very eggy. The croissant Benedict was exceptional. Every components of this plate was perfect. The place was busy & the service was slow and a bit lacking. Their drinks are still below average. I recommend coco safar for their croissants only because they truly have the best croissants. But everything else is not worth it. My favorite croissants are the original, Hazelnuts (Perfect, Nutty, chocolaty and crunchy), Churros ( the tres leches custard filling is dreamy), Pistachio & white chocolate, and apple. The rest were good as well but I don't recommend the creme brulee it was very bad and the sticky bun was dry.

Home to two of the best croissants in the world. The almond croissant was voted the best in the world. The  crispy, flaky croissant is generously topped with toasted flaked almonds and filled with almond paste. Your plate and your clothes should be covered in crumbly flakes when you bite into this buttery folded masterpiece. Apart from the award winning croissants there close cousins come in a variety of flavors to keep you coming back for more. The next one to cross my lips will be pasteis de nata style croissant. To accompany these little gems is the house blend coffee. The micro-roasted specially selected beans are roasted on the premises guaranteeing freshness and superior quality. By simply looking at the coffee machine you immediately realize that it was crafted by a specialist. The Spirit Idrocompresso is a world first, commissioned and hand built in Holland by leading commercial espresso machine designer Kees van der Weston. The coffee, tea and gelato tasting is masterfully orchestrated by Lorna who patiently took you through a journey of flavors and tastes. To compliment the luxurious setting in the restaurant is a staff compliment who strive to provide you as a customer with an experience second to none. A special thank you to Precious, Megan and Willhelm for adding to the memorable experience.
