Bleu Cobalt Cottage - Self Catering Cottage — Hotel in Stellenbosch Local Municipality

This is our second visit to this incredibly special place. Nothing is too much trouble and Jan makes it his mission to give you the best time. The cottage is immaculate, kitchen area works well with toaster, microwave, good size fridge and a great cafetiere with local coffee supplied. The bedroom opens onto our own patio and then a short walk to the most beautiful pool with very comfy sun loungers. We spent seven nights here and just didn't want it to end. Some GPS confusion brought us here. After driving up and down the street looking for our accommodation, we gave up and tried to find someone who could help us. GPS insisted we were staying here, so I entered a door marked "RECEPTION ". I managed to say "hi" before a very angry man stormed towards me screaming that I was on private property, and to get out. He physically threatened me (a woman). It was more surprising than frightening, but the fact that that was his first response to an unknown woman was alarming and telling. If avoid this place. What can I ask for more, Jan went above and beyond! The most divine and cleanest place we have every stayed in! It surpasses your expectations and even any high end hotels and accommodations. From the pre-arrival emails and communications, cottage and pool, to departure is absolutely 10/10 across the board! Jan set the high standard for being a great host and clean and comfortable place to stay! Don’t even start with the location, as it’s really in the heart of everything.
