Don't get me wrong, the view across the valley from here is one of the best you will find. The decor and setting - beautiful. Unfortunately the poor service was just too much. The most attention I got was from Angelo who did the Covid protocols on my arrival. I went there to taste some wine. After 15 minutes and not a sip of the grape past my lips I was almost crying with frustration - please just let me taste some wine! In fairness to the waitress they have a complex range of tasting options.

Bottom line (and I may be wrong) but I got the newbie waitress because the more experienced ones were waiting for the wine train which arrived shortly after me with two groups of +- 5 to 8 people each plus some others and the one group seemed to get fairly quick service. Then they mucked up my bill, so another delay. To the proprietors of this establishment - Shame on you for not training your staff and spoiling what should have been a 5 star experience. Even more of a shame because the three wines I did taste weren't bad, but too...

My family, friends and I - who were on the Wine Tram - went to this place in error, thinking it was Franshhoeck Cellars, the place we actually wanted to go for lunch. By the time we realized our mistake, we had already ordered, so we stayed. What a huge disappointment! The fact that we were the only ones eating lunch there should have tipped us off. First, the three wines they served us for the wine tasting didn't correspond with the descriptions on the menu. Then they screwed up my order not once but twice. I ended up getting my lunch to take away. The more I walked around the other wine estates with my brown bag lunch, the hangrier I got. Apart from that, they told us they were having a three for the price of two pizza special, so we ordered that. When the bill came, sure enough they charged us for three pizzas. Terrible service. I came from Brackenfell while my friends were already there and ordered thier Pizza. When I arrived the food was still not served. Then waited another 45 mins for that same meal. I ventually went to get it myself as there was 5 complete and 4 more still being made. The waiter gave us a 1 pizza from another table. Initial rounds of drinks was amazing.the second round could not be replicated due to supervisor making the first round and the next guy could not replicate - also waited about 40+ minutes for replacement drinks that never arrived. We drove past so many other places on the advice of another business, but definitely will not go...
