Mountain Marina Luxury Apartments — Hotel in V&A Waterfront

We booked the 2 bedroom 2 bathroom Pembroke 304 apartment. The apartment razz very spacious with a large living room, huge balcony that covers both bedrooms and the living room, one bedroom with ensuite bathroom and one bedroom with bathroom next door in a small hallway. There’s also a washer and dryer and expresso machine. They even provide the coffee, washer detergent and dish soap. The bathrooms have a heated towel rack. The beds were very comfortable. The TV has included channels with movies and shows. ||The apartment complex is gorgeous with a large pond we saw people kayaking in. It’s gated and you’re provided with a clicker for the car garage and a clicker for the pedestrian gate. The location is fantastic, right by the Time out food market and a mall as well as many restaurants. We felt very safe walking around the area. ||On the day of checkout I asked if we could leave our luggage somewhere as we had a late evening flight and a tour during the day. We were told we could leave our luggage in the apartment and just leave the me when we leave in the evening! I’ve never had a hotel let us stay that late before. It was so nice to be able to take a shower before heading to the airport for our long flight home. ||We loved this apartment and enjoyed coming home every night to rest and sleep. The sound proofing was excellent so we slept so well. The only small issue we noticed is that the bathroom by the toilet has a pipe/sewer smell. It didn’t spread past the bathroom. Luckily I brought a plug in air freshener. I would recommend they keep some sort of air freshener in the bathrooms. I would highly recommend...

I had booked this place with great excitement for a family holiday! However that quickly turned sour when 5 days later I was contacted that there has been an issue on their pricing and that I had to either pay an ADDITIONAL R24,000 !! A whole 1/3 more OR cancel my booking. I pleaded to let them leave it and offered to pay the full amount I had booked for upfront. There was no reply for two weeks! Eventually they reply telling me they cannot and that I had to cancel my booking! Accommodation in CPT during that time is scarce and expensive, and I was forced to cancel and look elsewhere. Keep in mind some of us are coming from Europe for this trip! Everything was booked and ready. They caused total stress. I demanded that my deposit be fully refunded, and I was refunded with more than R 2,000 LESS! I understand currency conversions and exchange rates apply, but under no circumstances will I cover that cost on their behalf! I am so disappointed! Forced to pay A LOT more or cancel my booking, causing extra stress by changing my plans, and then making me pay for...
