A decent, quite and affordable place to stay in central seoul. Staff and manager are so friendly and accomodating. Also they speak several languages to easily communicate with. Location is really strategic. Seoul station is the central transportation hub for subway and buses, and its just few meters away. Chunjeongno station is also nearby. Transportation wise. Several tourist destinations are really accessible. Some are at a walking distance like seoullo, hongdae, namdemun market, sungnyemon gate, museum, casino and the famous siloam sauna... if you don't mind walking farther, city hall, deoksugong palace, seoul plaza, gyeonghuiging palace, gyeongbukgong palace etc... guesthouse offers a simple breakfast of bread and jam, juice or coffee for you to grab at 6am. Microwave, perculator, toaster, grill, and fridge is available for use. Either cook your own food or eat outside. There are lots of restaurant and bars nearby. If not, lotte mart or seoul station is accessible for you to eat. You can do your laundry for free, but you need your own detergent of course. Korean culture uses a towel big enough to dry yourself. That is unlike most countries that uses wrap around towel. Over all its really convinient and practical, its worth recommending.
Travel tips: please know the difference between hotel and a guesthouse. Consider price, amenities and locations. Another, know korean culture and system. (Most korean hotels and guesthouses don't offer shampoos and soap / toothbrush and toothpaste, because it is an environmental friendly nation. They...
Read moreThis place has a BIG BIG problem! One which the manager refuses to acknowledge. Black mold!
I've been traveling for 4 continuous years, I've stayed in some pretty shabby places in Asia, but none that made me physically sick.
If you google black mold, you'd know that it's extremely dangerous when inhaled. It can lead to death and this building is infested with black mold. When brought to the attention of the manager, he seemed unaware and uninterested. He's a good guy, I got to know him throughout my stay, but in this particular incident, he failed to do his ONE job. Keep his tenants safe.
I'm now having to go to the hospital for treatment. I hope it doesn't turn into something too serious, but I feel fatigued, have extreme headaches, pain in my chest & heart and feel disoriented. I think this is happening from being exposed to the black mold for weeks.
DO NOT book this place! Please be real careful. Spend a little bit more money now, but look out for yourself in...
Read moreThere are no kpop related info at all. I feel cheated. Standard room is so small that I can't even fully open my luggage. Worse of all, the so call private bathroom in the standard room only has a showerhead and no toilet or sink!! How can this be called a bathroom? Owner just casually informed me that toilet is shared, there is only 1 toilet on each floor and is shared with male and female. It doesn't even have a separate urinal for males. It is very uncomfortable. In the kitchen, pots and pans are rusty.. nobody in their right minds will use it to cook. I requested a full refund from my booking website and after investigation, the officer gave me a...
