Booked this hotel for 6 nights, based on all the good reviews and of course of the very good location. We booked a double room and triple room for our group of five. Had read about the hazardous high bathtub in the reviews so I booked a double bed room as it's with a standing shower instead of a bathtub. Couldn't do the same for the triple room since there wasn't a choice. My friends in the triple room with kids expressed the difficulty of getting in and out of the very high bathtub and had to be very careful. Speaking on the bathroom, it's designed in such a weird way for my double room, the toilet is in a separate cubicle and I have to walk out and go in to the other side to wash my hands. It's very difficult to have a nice shower in this hotel as water overflowed out of the toilet to the room even with the bathroom door closed. After the flooding happened on the first day, we had to be extra careful to stand in a way that water will not flow out. It's a good thing it was winter and we didn't need to take longer showers. Water pressure of the shower was weak. |The triple room bathtub flooded on one of the days. The shower head also dripped water while using the handheld shower.||The room lights malfunctioned for both our rooms on separate days when we couldn't on or off the lights. The TV never worked and we gave up switching it on as it keeps jumping with no reception. ||These are only small issues that I can tolerate. The horror story happened on Day 6 of our stay. I always have a habit of checking the door every time we leave our room to go out, to make sure it's locked. When we went out on Day 6 morning, I did the usual checks after closing the door and to my utmost shock, the door opened! It opened from the outside without the keycard! I tried opening and closing many times and it was the same, I could open it without the keycard and it can't be locked. Imagine my horror thinking that we just spent the night with the door unlocked and can be opened by anyone from the outside without a key card. We immediately called the reception to check the issue. It was solved after that but that security lapse really scared us to the max. I was already not comfortable with the absence of a door latch in the room and this had to happen. I'm actually surprised no one even mentioned in the reviews that there's no door latch in the rooms. A door latch in the room is a very important aspect for me in my hotel search and I think I will not consider this hotel personally again due to this reason.||As for the good points, the location is unbeatable. It's in the heart of Myeongdong shopping district, so accessible and convenient when you need to go back to put your buys and freshen up after some shopping sprees. Love the CU just behind the hotel, the Coffeebean opposite and Ediya a stone's throw away. The HBAF store is also in the same building. Abundance of nice shops and restaurants plus the food street stalls. Meeting point for our klook day trips was also very near and convenient.||Service of the reception staff was good and friendly. They could speak English well. We liked the water dispenser on every floor which was so convenient. Also love that the hanging clothes area in the room was a open concept, instead of the usual cupboard in most hotels. Our winter jackets would not have enough air if they were kept in an enclosed cupboard. ||If the hotel could do an overhaul on their doors and install a door latch in their rooms, it would provide the added security for guests. It would also be good if the hotel could do something to solve the flooding and overflowing issue of...

Entrance is in a corner alley very near subway exit or airport shuttle bus stop; one needs to ride the elevator going to reception at the third floor. The family size room was enough for the 3 of us with huge luggages. Shower w/ tub is a bit cramp, a bit icky using shower and toilet if you're with friends as it's frosted glass. The japanese style bidet with seat warmer and temp regulator was a +++! Tried using the laundry with vendo for powder soap beside it (1 front loading washer and 1 dryer only, accepts 1000 krw bill or 2 500krw coins, 4000 krw for each washer and dryer use) on the 11th floor around 11pm but queue was too long (everyone wanted a newly washed outfits) and ended up watching and drinking free coffee at the lounge area instead. Brekkie was so-so and limited variety but it'll do. The best thing is you can windowshop around anytime to your content until you've decided what to buy then you can just come back to purchase it (prices really differs between stores). I don't recommend eating street food here, too bloated a price and tastes are generic; go to Gwangjang market instead where prices are reasonable, and tastes are more local in flavour. Best thing about this hotel: airport shuttle bus is just 2 minutes walk from the hotel entrance, fare 17000 krw payable to the driver, convenient indeed specially if you have 2 large luggages full...
Read moreI stayed here with a mother for a vacation/visiting family trip. My mom isn't great with maps, so she wanted a place where she can just walk around and see different stores or shops. The hotel's location is perfect for her situation! It is located right next to Myeongdong Night Market which makes it easy to buy food from the stalls at night. It is also right next to Myeongdong Station Line 4 which makes it easy to travel to places further away from our area. If you want easy access to and from Myeongdong's shopping area, I highly recommend this place.
While their location is perfect for easy access, the building's space itself is small and may be difficult to spot on its own. It is not like other hotels where there is a large sign or object depicting its location, but it is still possible to see through a map or walking (just a bit more difficult).
Besides the location, the staff were so accommodating. They are able to speak English well, and they try their best to accommodate any requests we had. If our request was not able to be accommodated, they explained their reasoning well. I want to explicitly thank Mr. Daniel, Ms. Joy, Mr. Sun, and Mr. Steven for their wonderful hospitality and service to my mother and I.
They also do have a restaurant located on the lobby area, and they also offer a self-locker, laundry, and microwave all on...
