Seoul Cube Jongro — Hotel in Seoul

Pros: Overall, this is a good hostel. Quiet, facilities are generally clean and get a good nights rest.

Cons: In most hostels, the staff are friendly and usually start conversations with guests. However, in this hostel, they don't do that. Typically, when you walk into a hostel, the staff are the first ones to greet you, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere where guests feel comfortable chatting with each other. But here, it's different. It’s unclear who works there, nobody looks you in the eye or says hi.

Additionally, there are plenty of signs saying you can't socialise in the main area, which I understand is to help people sleep, but I think it would be better if this rule applied just during the evening.

My other gripe is there isn't enough room in the dorm to take your suitcase, nor is there space in your locker. Therefore, all suitcases sit in the middle of the hostel and anytime you need to take clothes out you have to open your suitcase in front of the hostel and root out what you need.

A great stay in Seoul located in the lively Jong district. Tourist friendly neighborhood with tons of nearby attractions and a short walk away from Gwangjang. However, it is a bit commercialized. It’s a franchise so the experience wasn’t as familial as the other hostels I stayed in. Don’t let the headcount per room scare you. Awful service! Be careful, they might cancel your booking last minute and leave you stranded!

Be careful, they say that check-in is until 11pm, but they will sometimes leave early. My flight landed at 8pm, and they canceled my booking at 8:30pm even though I notified them that I would be arriving late. I was almost left stranded in the middle of Seoul because my credit card declined the transaction (they said I could pay at the location...but I guess they couldn't wait to go home for...
