We were two colleagues going to Sugar Skull for dinner, and our opinions differ when it comes to the food. I enjoyed it, he did not. For me it was basically what I expected. Way better than what you'd get at Taco Bell or other chain restaurants, but not as good as what you get from a food truck or a proper Tex-Mex joint in the States or Europe. However, it beats several of the Tex-Mex restaurants I've been to in the touristy areas in Spain (pretty much all of Costa del Sol). At any rate, the raw ingredients appeared to be of good quality, but there's always something a bit off with the seasoning in Korea.

The service was great, with courteous nd helpful staff, but this is also common to most restaurants in Korea.

The mood was nice. The place is dished out as tacky as you'd expect with some Mexican style music on the speakers. Imagine a stereotypical Tex-Mex restaurant from a TV-show. That's...

What a hidden gem! I found this Mexican place while looking for an alternative place since the restaurant I wanted to go was closed for dinner preparation.

Located on the rooftop of the building (they use one floor underneath as well), the atmosphere makes you feel like in Mexico. Loved the interior and the local Mexican music.

The food is typical - tacos, fajitas, burritos. They were not exceptionally good but not bad.

Their drinks could be little bit better, I guess. I would love a margaritas and mojitos stronger.

Most places nearby are very typical Korean places and I was glad to find this place.

I’ll definitely come back to...

I ordered a chicken quesadilla and nachos with queso. The food was delicious and served in just a couple of minutes.

The staff was really friendly and spoke English. The menus are mostly in Korean, but also offer English names and short descriptions.

Overall the price was not too high. It's a bit more expensive than other places but still a very good price for what you get.

The restaurant is high up in the building but can be reached...

Sugar Skull is a place where you can fully experience the charm of Mexican cuisine. From the entrance, the rich Spanish-inspired interior welcomes visitors, and the dishes, made with fresh ingredients, offer a clean and satisfying taste. The panoramic view of Jongno and Jonggak from the 8th and 9th floors enhances the dining experience. It’s an ideal spot for a quick meal or to relax with a drink while enjoying your time.
